Question for Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

I need help with getting the battle with drooplis started to get Mario's name and body back and the guide I have isn't really helping me very much. I did what it says exactly and nothing happens when I go back up those staircases where this spring is at.

Trust me I know what your going through this is a serious pain. If vivan has joined your party already then eavesdrop on some crows by using her a primer{field skills} and 1 set of crows should reveal that there is someone or something inside of creeple steeple that knows the ghosts name. So go back to the gate entance of creeple steeple and turn right, you should find a well jump in it and grab the shinesprite then make your way to the other room. Once youve defeated these monsters hit the ? For a badge. Now push this gate uphill to the top. Once at the top use vivans field skill to go under the gate now go through the door use your roll skill to make your way to the room with the parrot in it open the box directly to your left it should have the letter P in it now use vivans skill yet again and the crow should ramble on about nothing until he reveals doopliss's name now go fight dooplis again and reveal his name. He should go crazy and run back to the top of the tower where you first fought him. Defeat him here and the chapter is finally over.
