I have a problem... On the Pit of 100 Trails how do you defeat Bonetail..

To get through the Pit alive you must make sure that you are at least level 29. Items you should use to get to the bottom are: 2 Ultra Shrooms, 2 Jammin Jellys, 2 Shooting Stars (or Thunder Rages), and like 4 Whacka's Bumps or Shroom Roasts if at all possible. Its a lot easier if you have the Strange Sack from Level 50, cause then you can double what I stated to bring. I know the items I listed are expensive, but you get the coins back quick in the pit. If your FP or HP runs low use Sweet Feast (a Star Power move that you get from beating Chapter 7). It is suggested that Sweat Feast be used every time you CAN use it (which is about every 3 or 4 battles if you use stylish moves correctly). When you reach level 90, you should level up at least 1 time within the 90 to 99th floors. Thus, go all out on the 90 floors. Use FP as needed and use much powerful attacks. As for partners. Start in the pit using Vivian and use her Fiery Jinx attack for multiple enemies only if really needed. Once you reach around floor 70 use Bobbery.

As for Bone Tail, if you followed my instructions, beating him should be pretty simple, before you start the battle with him, heal your party the best you can and equip the "Quick Change" badge. Start the battle with Vivian (as with the pit). On the first move, use Mario's Star Power move: Power Lift, so that you can take out Bone Tail's HP quickly. Use Vivan's NORMAL attack so that you can burn him, then when the next turn comes around, switch Vivian for Bobbery until Bone Tail stops burning. Reapeat the Power Lift, Burning, and Attacking plan until you win. Bone Tail can ONLY do up to 8 damage to you, so don't heal unless needed. Don't be alarmed when Bone Tail heals his HP by about 60 (he starts with 20 and works his way up), you can just whittle back down again with your same attack pattern that I stated.

You need to train alot, get good items, good badges and upgraded partners.

make sure that ever person has full hp/fp. have both mega rush (and p). he will not charge up. supernova, sweet treat and power lift are good ideas for star powers ( not art attack) characters not to use goombella and yoshi and DO NOT USE FIREY JINXS. shade fist works better.
