Find the compass thingie and go on it and press either x or y and then you turn in to a boat to turn back then you have to land on it again, but there could be another compass thingie nearby. For an instance in the Pirate's Gotto there's a lot of compass thingie's.

Find the compass and use it to get to Pirate's Grotto.
