Help me please!!! I can't figure out how to beat the guy who stole Mario's body. Do you guess his name or is there a special way to beat him? Please help!!!

You go back to the castle or whatever then you do that disappearing under the parrot but so that doesn't waste your time it is Doopliss, weird name isn't it.
When you're the shadow when you come back to Twilight Town from Creepl Steeple The mario that stole your body want's to battle you. But he wants you to guess his name. Well his name is Doopliss (type it how I type it or else he will battle you, with the Capital D).
According to the bird in the Creepy Steeple - his name is Doopliss - but I have been trying this all night and he keeps telling me that I am wrong - let me know if you have better luck.
His name is Doopliss. You learn this by using Vivian's vanishing power in front of the parrot where you got the letter P.

His name is Doopliss with a capital D. If you don't put a capital he will tell you it's wrong and battle you. But neither of you will be able to damage each other. He will tell you not to run but run anyway cause it's pointless battling Doopliss.
Try it. It will work, trust me.
