I say it is awsome in graphics it has a good story plot but there are to many things to scan but you don't have to scan everything (phew).
Anyway it is a great game and I believe you should get it.

The only problem is you have to backtrack a lot and playing takes a long time. If you know how to do everything though it only take about 7 hours.

Personally I believe the second one is way better but I give the first one an 8 out of 10

Midget Monster answered:

The game is amazing, but there is a lot of backtracking. It does fill you in on a lot of the story but Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is better (Less backtracking, more gadgets, better weapons and enemies)

sheiny answered:

That is a definite YES!

It has some of the bets, BEST graphics ever. If you run up to a wall with your beam charged, the light the charge gives off shows up against the wall, and when you fire the beam, you can see how the light realistically tints appropriately against each wall as the beam shot passes by. Very realistic physics as well. The shadowing and shininess of Samus's suit is deadly realistic, as with the shininess and shadowing of other creatures as well. Some creatures, in fact, don't bear the simple circle underneath them for a shadow, but rather bear a realistic-looking chadow that looks like them being casted on the ground. This doens't apply to all creatures, however.

The storyline is great, the controls are simple, each beam has it's own realistic feature, like the Ice Beam freezes foes, the Plasma Beam ignites them, the Wave Beam paralyzes them, ect.. Also, another realistic thing- if you freeze an enemy with the Ice Beam then launch a concusive Missle at them, the ice shatters and the enemy is killed instantly, shattering into several pieces. If you paralyze an enemy, it will realistically spark with electricity and will flail in a stunned fashion throughout the ground, making the buzzing electrical noises that comes of electricity.

The most realistic thing, though, are the Space Pirates. The way they react to your weapons as they are killed- if you fire a Super Missle at one, it wil be lifted right off the ground, and will fly through the air, collapsing onto the ground again, and if lands right on the edge of a platform or cliff, it will realistically slide off with the roughness and contour of it's body. If it slams into a wall by a Super Missle, it will do so realistically, and when a Space Pirate is hanging uselessly over a ledge or something, it will swing around in the air and rock around realistically as well- like, try tying something to a string and dangle the object by the string. See how it rocks around in the direction it should by the way it was dangled and such? That's as realistic as it is in the game. Amazing.

Also, you can get Metroids in the game to atttack other Space Pirates. You sorta have to coax them, and it's hard, but awesome to see. Nd if you blast a Pirate into Phazon, depending of what kind of Pirate it was, it can be killed instantly.

So, really, I give it a 9/10 in total overview, but a 10/10 for graphics.

Yeah BUT be warned that this game is aggrivating at times. You have to backtrack constintly, it is confusing but has great graphics. It is a long game when you first play it because you have to figure everything out by yourself unless your a desprite cheater. I give the game a 6-10.

You should buy it. It has had me stuck to playing it for hours on end. It is aggravating at some times though. I give it a 10 out of 10.
