To get a shutout, you must win a game through just by winning or getting mercy on you opponet but the pitcher must never be switched and giving your opponet no runs with your current pitcher. Hope this helps you out.

Guest answered:

Well in order to get the star u must pitch with the same pitcher throughout the entire game and not let up a single run

Guest answered:

I pitched a perfect game with Mario, with Luigi in outfield. Did NOT get the shut-out either, try making Luigi the pitcher, see if that works.

Guest answered:

The character who has that challenge MUST be the pitcher for the ENTIRE game.

JinT18 answered:

A shutout is when the pitcher pitches a no-hitter. You can't give up any hits or runs.

Guest answered:

If a pitcher wins a game 2-1 but the run scored against was unearned, does the pitcher get accredited with a shutout?
