Difficultly and teamates

On star cup on challenge mode no matter who I am facing goes crazy If I get more points than them. I versed Yoshi while being Mario and I scored 2 runs in the first inning and all of the shy guys and baby mario and birdo got homeruns.
When the game ended I lost 3 to 18. Normally I don't do that bad. Is there a certain teamates I should use. The 4 people I want to keep on my team though are Mario, (duh he is the captain so you can't really get rid of him)(Sheese what am I thinking)(..... That is besides the point) Luigi who is my favorite character, Yoshi and Monty mole. Anyone is allowed to answer but can mariosotherbrother please please please answer because that person seemed really nice answering my last question. (Thank you for that) THANK YOU WHOEVER ANSWERS. Thank you thank you.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S I know I kind of went on and on and I have no idea why I do that.

Well when computerd get home runs it's ussually at random times but when you are in the lead the chance for a home run for computers gets higher. Plus star cup is just anyoing. Well as for team mates try puting speed team mates in the out field and put people who are freinds to each other in the infield.Just keep trying and once you have Waluigi use him to pitch or if you don't just use mario. And as for Luigi he can jump high to stop a home run so when your a head put luigi on the left out field whrn the computer is left handed and put luigi on the right when the batter right handed. I hope this helps it worked for me

When you are facing the computer on higher levels the chances for homers increase,when you are winning the homers for the computer increase.Pick at least two outfielders that are fast and one who either is friends withe the infield or some one with laser arm,or super jump.Put people that are friends in the infield.King Boo and Donkey Kong are really good pitchers.I hope I helped you out.

Try using some different pitching techniques. Sometimes in Special Cup (I don't know about Star Cup I havent played it in about a year) if you throw fastballs that curve and just barely make the strike zone the CPU players won't pick up on it for a while. Throw in inside strike (fast) then one to the outside, then a changeup or something else like a blazing fastball outside. Hope this helps, it might not work on Star Cup. Also, you should seriously consider getting Waluigi as your pitcher this technique works best with him and Luigi.
