Does anybody out there know to get purple boxes on City Trial records mode!?

There are no purple boxes in the City Trial mode of Kirby Air Ride.
On the other hand:
• Blue boxes: Power-up and health recovery items
• Green boxes: Vehicle/player supplements
• Red boxes: Enemy characteristic icons and Dragoon/Hydra machine parts

Purple squares are set aside for each free fill in after certain red squares are triggered.
In lava flows go to were the dragon dives into the lave but stop there then let the dragon hit you. Once you done that finish the race and you will have a purple box in the records
