When I activate the "serena" reward nothing happens. Why?

Well if you mean the reward used for split screen it's a character to use for the split scree mode.
You can only use it in split screen. It doesnt mean you can do the levels like faded splendor or anything as serena. It just adds her to your choices of people on split screen.
