First, switch from the chain gun to the main cannon by pressing the "z" button, then fire it like you would any other gun (press the "r" button). The cannon can be a bit tricky to use at first, as it takes a few seconds to relaod, but once you get the hang of it, it's a powerful weapon good for taking out hard targets
