Question for Harvest Moon: Magical Melody

I want to know why can't I ride my horse? It has 3 hearts and it is an adult.

To ride your horse you need to first of all have it outside. Then make sure you don't have anything equipped and go right up next to the side of your horse and press the X button. That is how you get on and off the horse. It is important to spend lots of time riding it because that is how you get experience stars for the horse and how it is able to win the horse race. You get 1 experience star for every 12 hours that you ride it.
