Hey I have a question. I have almost all the unlockable tools except the fishing rod. How do you get the fishing rod from Galen. Everytime I offer him something he says "Thats my weak spot for sure..but it probably has nothing to do with me..." or " Can't you just leave me alone. "
What does he like and when does he want it. Im in year one of chapter 2. Thanks in Advance to whoever answers this

You don't get the fishing pole from Galen. You get it from Van.
Once you have bought it from van then you can get the one from Galen
He likes fish. I think he likes them whenever you can give them to him. I hope this helps you ^_^
And yes, you can get a fishing pole from Galen. You have to be good friends him, though. You have to walk into his house when he is there, most likely in the morning.
Galen will stop accepting gifts for a period of time in chapter two because his wife died.
OOOOOO GALEN yes galen give you fishing rod (g)
All you need to do is open your shop ( under the tree where van does it ) at around 5 pm when galen walks by
Then give him a discount
After a season and a half maybe two youll have him say nicer things. THen start giving him fish and clean ninas grave at 7 am every morning and one day walk in and he will give you the fishing rod. PEACE OUT!
You get the basic fishing rod from Van. If you befriend Galen in the first chapter, in the second chapter, play the grave cleaning game and then go to his house with him. Talk to him and he might say "Do you like fishing?" say yes and he will give you the Fishing Rod G. If he doesn't, keep trying. Hope I helped you!! :")
