How do you get the alarm clock from Grant? I've befriended his whole family but everytime I go to his house in the morning, he won't give me the alarm clock?

You need to go in Grant's house realy early when Grant is there. Also make sure his family looks at you when you walk past them.
In the game, plug your first controller into the third socket and press up on the controller. PRESTO! If you are in your house when you do this leave for a few minutes and go back in. You now have an alarm clock.This will not work in the start screen or in a cutscene.
I went to grants house just after 5am on the 9th day of summer, chapter 2 and he just gave me the clock. Didn't have to be friends with him. I'm playing special edition on PS2
