I believe it was ten days. If you already bought it, it should be there in a few days. I don't know the answer for your third question because I bought the seed maker. If Daryl (scientist) won't give you the seed maker I'd just buy it. It's a real handy thing it will make you lots of money!
You can find out the chicken and cow question in your diary or something. It takes about 4-5 days for deliveries. And you have to walk in on the scientist at his house one day like follow him or something and he might give it to you if you're his friend.
Cows take thirty days to be born and chicks take five days. And the easiest way to get the seed maker is to buy it for 5000 G.
