I am not sure if you do get the seed maker from daryl for harvest moon awl so sorry whoever
Actually for those of you saying he doesn't your wrong. Daryl will give you a free seed maker if you befriend him and happen to walk into the cutscene, I'd say give him a fish once everyday about. The earliest I managed to get mine was the end of spring or beginning of summer ch. 1 lol I was surprised, but hope this helped.
Ok you get it from Daryl when he is good friends with you you can access this cut scene in any chapter and the way to get it is walking to Daryl's house one day and getting the cut scene.
The second thing you can do is I think takakura mentions that the seed maker is for sale now or it just appears in your book thingy
