Just a question out of curiosity. How long does this game go on? I'm on twilight of year 1. What does it mean year 1? Will you get to play as your son?

It goes on for a few years, it means the first year of the part of the game called twilight, no you don't get to play as your son sadly.
-it goes on about 6 years
-year one is the begging of you're game the first year ends winter 10th and once you get married on that day then you will start on year two with a kid
-no all you can do is try to influence him in a career of you're liking and play WITH him not as him
-after the six years you die :(
