Cheats and pets

I was just wondering if you use the 99 item cheat thing, does that mean you can't get the intermissions where people give you the items?
I'm trying to get atleast most of the pets, but I'm worried that because I used the item cheat, Vesta won't give me the wierd hoe, and then I can't get the raccoon.

So, does the intermission still happen, or does it skip it and I still get the raccoon, or do I not get it at all?

(If this was allready asked, then apolagies. Hehe.)

1.If you use the cheat you won't get the cut scenes. Sorry!

You sure? I mean, I'm having the same problem. I can't seem to get the raccoon. But I've gotten plenty of other cut scenes, with the cheats. The horse, the blue feather... Those are all "items" that can be unlocked.

So my only advice is to just.. Keep trying. Give Vesta milk and flowers to make her happy. You can only get the raccoon in the first year, just by the way.

Its impossible to get the raccon as a pet
