Question for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

After you Get Hogwarts a History how do you kill the bookcase monster? I used filpendo and it didn't work. Please help me!

Ok, keep casting flipendo on it till it's at the back of a line in the floor.
Then cast 1 more flipendo en it will fall then you can grab the box at the left and get it in front of the first bookcase climb it and then fire flipendo on the book wait till it falls(it will come back up in 5 seconds) jump to the next bookcase and repeat(hit the book wait till it falls climb the bookcase BUT WATCH OUT FOR THOSE SPRITS THAT CAME OUT OF THE BOOKCASE-MONSTER)
Climb all the bookcase's and at the and the skurge book is yours.
