How do you get past omashu library past the people that say "get out your not master earthbenders:

Press the sneak button and walk right past them.

Press the x button. You and your crew will go "invisible" for as long as the eye in the upper right corner is closed. (it shows you with the little yellow line around it.) Once the eye opens, don't MOVE AT ALL. Once the line goes away again, press the x button again. Repeat this until you get to the room you need to be in. Pay attention to your little "danger map" in the upper right corner. The guards/masters show up in red. And DON'T stop right in front of anybody. They'll see you even if you hold still.
