5 years late to your question but thought I’d share now I’ve figured it out for any future game players

You want to go the room directly above on floor 4.
If you need directions if you take the lift to floor 4 then take the west door. In the next room, take the north door.

You should be in a small room with 2 levels. The lower level has a grandfather clock, wardrobe, and an ladder DJ has to climb up to get to the upper level.
On the lower level, go over to the grandfather clock and you’ll see you can use the R button to drag it away. Then you can get to the northwest corner on this lower level, directly west of the wardrobe. Head to this corner and stand there for a few seconds.

You should fall into the hidden room on floor 3. There will be 4 enemy chairs you can kill (but no prizes for killing them) and a blue chest. Open the blue chest to get a peppermint which gives each character an additional life bar and fills them fully.

It is on the first floor. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get past the door that leads to the water ballons, unless your gameboy glicthes, like mine did the second time I started the game (tehe. I lied when I said the door is imposible to open). You have to wait 0:29:38 at the start of the game, but DO NOT MOVE!!! After you wait that long, then HURRY and get to the carpet at the southeast, but not where the "imposible to open" door is, and the tongue of the house will come out of the "***" door and shoot through the metal door(If you watched the movie, then you should know what the tounge is). Then you must follow it through a series of doors. Don't even THINK ABOUT SHOOTING THE MONSTERS. This will only slow you down, and the tongue will leave you, and YOU WILL DIE. The battle takes place in a room with a fireplace in the north section. The tongue will shoot out of random places. Its only weakness is the front. After you defeat it, head to the left, and just keep going until you find a toy box. ITS WHAT YOU WANTED!!!!!

You'll get a peppermint boost giving an overall health points for Dj 10, jenny 9 and chowder 11. Theres no way to open but I've tried trial and error method. Turn the rotating like compass heading south. (which makes the 3 doors closed and the south door, the only open door). Then head south. Again head south. Then jump over cliff (not with the chest one) but on the other side. Then head to the place where chowder is kidnapped (the door where you are supposed to open it with the brass key) don't go inside. There should be a door west of it. Then it's a long journey. Keep moving until you reach the room where the elevator is located. Then again, go to the room on the east. Keep moving east. (just remember the rooms you need to enter in order to get to the rotating compass like.
