Instead of pressing A then pressing it again and holding the 2nd time, hold A abd charge up your hit and you will be able to hit it more left or right, your choice. HAPPY GAMING
In the introduction, Wario and Waluigi walk by and look at the tournament board. On the bottom left-hand corner of the tournament board, you will see Toad and Toadette competing. However, they are not playable characters in the game.
Get as close as you can to the net while maintaining control of the volley, then when the ball comes to you, hit to the opposite end of the court... (If opponent is in left court, hit as far to the right as you can). This works best with characters with Tricky attributes.

1. Court Gimmicks
So far, I have figured out 2 of the court gimmicks. I will send in more when I find them out.
DK Court- Hit the KlapTraps on the net with the ball. They will land on the other side of the net and and cling to the butt of the other player.
Too many KlapTraps will slow a player down.
Sunshine/Pirahna Court- Run over the three small symbols to receive an auto power shot boost.
2. Unlock Things
Beat the doubles mushroom cup tournament to unlock the coin collectors special game.
Once you beat the first level of coin collectors, you will unlock coin collectors jackpot.
Beat the doubles flower cup tournament and yoshi's power shot will be powered up. He will change colors after he uses his egg power shot.

To get Fly Guy you need to beat the tournament through Mushroom Cup, Flower Cup and Star Cup in one player with any character you choose. DO NOT pick doubles before you start a tournament if you want to get Fly Guy, only pick singles.
The difficulty levels in a tournament as you go along are:
1.MUSHROOM CUP- easy
2.FLOWER CUP- intermediate
3.STAR CUP- Expert
...* After you beat the whole tournament your character will become a star player in the records section showing that you've beaten the tournament with that specific character.
After you beat Mushroom Cup in the singles tournament you'll get to beat Machanical Bowser in the special game section.
To beat the game you need to become a star character with every character, get all the hidden characters and get all the Gimmick and Standard stages.
....* To use your power in a tournament or exibition your racket will light up. When that happens you hold down the R button and press A or B. Your character will either do a power hit if the ball is close to you, and if the ball is far away from you the character will do a special hit so the ball doesn't go out of bounds.
