Moonmama here, I just need to correct the name on the hint about getting the golden necklace. I said Nami gave me the necklace but that's just wrong. It's Flora who gave me the necklace in the tent my the dig site when she and the Professor were both there. I'm so sorry I made this mistake and hope I haven't upset anyone with such a silly mistake as this.

Also, after Flora gave me the necklace, I tried to give it to my wife, Celia, who said it was pretty but wouldn't take it. I continued showing it to her and she told me to keep it in a safe place but will not accept it from me. I showed the necklace to the little old lady in the mansion on the hill and she suggested it has "powers", as did Ruby when I showed it to her. I showed the necklace to the Professor and he actually looked angry and rather forcefully asked if Flora had given it to me two or three times. I wasn't able to answer the question as the game doesn't give that option. The Professor just walked away from me with that angry look on his face. I then showed it to Flora in an attempt to discover her reason for giving it to me in the first place. All Flora did was to ask me if I felt the magical power of the necklace when I wore it and to tell me how wonderful it is. I haven't been able to figure out how to actually put the necklace on, but I do carry it in my rucksack all the time. Van offered me 40G when I was selling items to him, I refused the money and continue to try to figure out what the meaning or purpose of the necklace means. Again, I am so sorry I said Nami gave me the necklace when Flora is the one who actually did give it to me. Nami pretty much treats me with scorn or dismisses me unless I give her food. Anyone who knows anything more about the necklace please post your knowledge! Thank you, Moonmama

When your kid gets his own room and he's old enough to write, he will have about three or four different books on the bookshelf in his room. Most of them are pretty boring but if you "search more" you'll find his diary. Go ahead and read it because it'll give you a heads up on what's going on with him. By knowing some things, you should be able to judge what he'll want you to say and if he'll want you to talk to him. Also, you'll know what he wants you to give him.

Sometimes he'll lay down on the floor and or look up and cross his arms. When he does this, you can't talk to him.

While I married Celia, I still continued to speak to Nami occasionally and to give her gifts three or four times a year such as a flower, crops, or food I've cooked. I am in the 7th day of fall, year 1, in The Journey section of the third block of the three year blocks. My farm in doing very well, my son is an adult but still living at home. I went to the tent at the dig site at 11:00 pm. Both the Professor and Nami were there. I first spoke to the Professor and gave him one crop item and some food I'd cooked. I then spoke to Nami who told me that even though the Prof. Says Yum Yum when her eats what she has cooked, she knows she's a terrible cook. I gave her fish cooked with butter. She said thank you and told me it's hard to live in a small tent and that, while she enjoys archeology, she wonders at times what the Prof. Is up to. Then she took me aside, (farther away from the Prof. Than we had been but still in the tent) and gave me a gold necklace set with jewels that she had made. I have been going to the dig site as often as possible even if just long enough to dig in one or two squares and have visited the Prof. In the tent while he was alone.
He's told me Nami is a lousy cook and asked me to bring him food or crops whenever I could. (I have) He also told me he's tired of Nami's cooking, tired of Nami, and that she gets angry with him often, sometimes becoming violent. He said he's afraid of her at times. This conversation happened in the second year of the second block of three year blocks during the spring. I don't know what this is leading up to but it seems as if something is going to come of it. Tonight, before Nami gave me the necklace, he asked if I wanted to hear a story and I said I did. He began to tell me about a time in the Valley long ago but suddenly stopped and told me to come back "next time" for more of the story.

Ok go to the digging site when Carter is there.(He goes in at 10 am)Dig about 10 times in each square the things you wanna find are skull fossils(called fossil when found)and human staues(called something wierd when found)Bring one to Nami each day eventually you will get a Cutscene that means you have 1 red heart once you have seen 4 Cutscenes and have 4 red hearts you can propose to her with the Blue Feather(which Nic Nak and Flak give you after a certain amount of days I'm not sure how many because I got it in a different save file than the one I'm playing now)

Give Nami skulls everyday and follow her to her room at the Inn every few days.

Check her notebook on the table to see her heart status towards you. I was able to propose to her on the fifth night of summer after giving her skulls from the beginning of spring. Best way to do it is go to her room check notebook 4 hearts pull feather out and propose!

I was on Spring year 2, and I decided to sleep until the third chapter. Muffy told me that I was sucking on the farm, and I chose the negative answer "i don't care". So she kept on asking me if I was serious, and I kept with my answer. So then there was a scene where she took my kid, and takakura said something to my "dad", and the game was over.

This is by far the easiest Harvest Moon game to get money other than Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life. I know it's getting old, but hey, I'm bored, so I'll submit it. LOL. Okay, correct me if I'm wrong because ever since my memory card got corrupt I haven't played it (about a year or so). Also excuse me for any typos, I injured my wrist a few days ago. Anyway, enough of that. You definately want to befriend Ruby at the Inner Inn. When you befriend her, you'll get the solution to all your money problems. Simply go to your kitchen, put one Ruby Spice in, and it will duplicate. Duplicate as much as desired. They sell for 100G EA, so it won't be long. If you want to be less cheap, however, plant trees. That's right. You heard me. Plant `em! You'll soon be making money faster than the speed of light. That's assuming you buy more than 3. If you use fertilizer, even BETTER. That's more expensive though. You probably know this though, don't you? Oh well, hope this is helpful (it probably isn't though).

Give her the flowers that grow by her farm in the spring and get a heart every 2

You must have the seed maker, to make this work.
In the Summer, go and get about 11-15 turnip seeds. (note: you must buy them on the first day of summer). Then go plant them. When they are all done growing, take all of them, and put them in the seed maker.
You will have to wait for a couple of days.
Go back to the seed maker, and lets say that you put 13 turnips in there, you should have 26 seeds for free. Keep on doing this till the end of winter.
I ended up getting 98 turnips planted. This will end up to be a big help, because Van will buy each one for about 35 (i think).
MAKE BIG MONEY WITH GETTING CROPS FOR FREE

I've got a lot of hints like:

Cow Taming
If you buy the milk room and put your cows in it for a few days they will go in there on there own!

When it's stormy outside and you want to stop the rain, visit a mine and do some digging. As you emerge from the mine the rain will stop.

You can negotiate with Van up to three times on anything worth over 100g (including milk, fish, etc.). For example, go to sell him 3 Yamume fish worth 500g each -- first he offers 1500g, and when refused, he offers 1800g, then refused again and he settles for his final offer of 2100g. This third offer doesn't happen often, but the second does, so just keep refusing his first offer price until he up's it.

If you are having trouble getting golden wool, try the following: occasionally love your sheep; brush it every other day or so; wash it when it is dirty; before you shear it, wash it and love it. If you are having trouble getting golden eggs, try the following: love your chickens everyday; get at least one male; take your chickens outside on sunny days; don't put them in the field because it will only result in them getting lost; keep your chickens fed.
(P.S. The dog can eat chikens, so put him in the high grass)

If you feed your dog and hold it every day it will eventuly Chase your herd outsdie on sunny days and inside on rainy days

Note: You must have Tartan for this glitch to work.

Normally, you arean't supposed to be able to mix crops or flowers with trees to get a different result, but in this case you can.

1: Take any crop in seed form and upgrade it to S rank with the UP-Seed. (You have to have Tartan to make hybrids)

2: Take desired B-Rank tree you wish to make S-Rank and place it in the first slot of Tartan.

3: Take the S-Rank crop and place it in the second slot.

4: MAKE SURE THAT THE B-RANK TREE IS IN THE FIRST SLOT AND S-RANK CROP IS IN THE SECOND IN ORDER FOR THE GLITCH TO WORK

5: Use Tartan and there you go, an S-Rank tree without wasting thousands on fertilizer.

To marry Celia You have to give her a flower, or a moon ore everyday.
I went through so much trouble to marry Celia because I was in love with her and I didn't know what to what.

First, you have to befriend Daryl, and get the seed maker. Then go to Vesta's and by a tree seed. Then plant seed and when it grows fruit (I did apples) put it in the seed maker and plant those seeds until your field is full of trees.

Then pick the fruit and put it in the seed maker (It's good to keep extra fruit for different seasons) and sell the seeds to Van. I made over 200,000 gold this way.

Befriend these people to get certain animals.

Befriend Vesta and Marlin to get that raccoon by thier farm.
Befriend Mukumuku (the monster in the winter) to get the lizard by the waterfall.
Befriend Carter and Flora to get the Chihuahua by thier camp/dig site.

You know you can get fodder from cutting grass in you're feild, on the 1-2, 4-7 and the 9-10 days cut as much as you can then on the 3rd and the 8th day of each season sell it to van you get 10G each, you can carry up to 99 at a time thats 990G a time, it's good money. I got 1000 so I going to be rich (lol) I going to start doin it from now on. It amazingly good I think rate this if you like coz I wanna no what you think thank you hope you get lots of money out of this.

If you aren't finding very many fossils or coins, etc, in the dig site, be sure to dig more than just once in each little square of digging area. I've found something on the seventh try. I believe you can dig up to about 10 times before you find something (not saying that you WILL garanteed to find something, because some squares are just empty.) Sometimes if you're lucky, there's more than one artifact in certain areas.

Whenever you do the Ruby Spice duplicate it also gets you all the food types if you do it alot. (that's what I did) .......

Okay! Here are the ways to get different pets.
Cat-Befriend Romana, and sometime in the 2nd chapter (I think in the fall) wake up after your wife. Romana will be there and she will give you a cat if you want it.

Well, it turns out you can get more things by befriending people. When I say this I mean some people can give you another thing after you befriended people. Some of these might be for Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life. But I'm sure about Gustafa and Cody.

Sorry people I know this is not the right game but they don't have this game on Supercheats, so I'm going to post questions here.

For all you Harvest Moon lovers, there is a new Harvest Moon if you don't know.
It's so cool! In this game, you are a girl and you can marry Rock, Marlin, and Gustafa! THey have new berries, dishes, and above all, they have new cheats!

My personal two favourite cheats are the A-Money trick, and the full items cheat.
For the A-Money cheat, you need two controllers for this cheat! This is essential !!!
Now do anything at any time, as long as your screen is NOT showing how much money you have, such as fishing, and plug the second controller in the THIRD slot of your gamecube.

Now, while you are doing whatever you are doing, press the A button a few times (NOTE: Pressing it too much will show that you are thilthy rich, but you willl really become permanetly poor).

This may work for Harvest Moon : A Wonderful Life but I am not positive, SO DO NOT TRY IT UNTIL I FIND OUT!!!!!!

Anyways,the question was that if in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life or/and in Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life you die, do you get to play as your son?

I want to tell you that the first time I played I got nami at 4 hearts at the end of the year so I did not get to give the blue feather before that but the second time I played guess what I got nami to 4 hearts at summer day 10...

Isn't that unbelievable but I am seriuos because I talked to her everyday and gave her items from the digsite and at su mmer day 10 I gave her the blue feather and we went to the place where the sptrites live.

She said yes and then she said,''so you like to pay bills?'' and the cutsene was over andwe would get married on spring day one in year.

2. NOW, COULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME IF THEY'VE EVER BEAT THAT AND BE HONEST BECAUSE I AM BEING HONESTAND TELL ME IF THAT IS A GOOD RECORD PLEASE!!!

Near the bottom of the stream, you can catch a fish called the "Sarshark" this fish is rare and you can sell this fish to Van for 600 dollars

1. You have to get the other two girls to have at the most three hearts
2. In the summer get the blue feather from the harvest sprites
3. Ask celia to marry you then ask muffy to marry you
4. Do this over and over in till she likes you
5. And give her fossils and statues to make it go faster

Here's some hints about cows...

When your cow runs out of milk *and you have more cows* either sell it or breed it. Breeding always worked the best for me. I've beaten this game at least 2 times, this is my third try.

Also, NEVER leave your cows in the barn. They get way too stressed.

First at the beginning of the game sell every milk bottle you get from your cow use a cheat code to get more money by taking more milk with you and saying no after you choose the quantity you want to sell to Van the second offer should be there if not try again.

When you are married buy a sheep and buy two chickens. Buy the electric clippers or the sheep sheers. If you have a little left try to save up for a goat. Now your farm prospers over with the animals and you will be fine.

If you want a duck they appear when you buy the pond.

1. To get a Wierd Sickle be friend's with the docter guy ( he move's into Galen and Nina's house in year two ) and go inside his house when he's there to get the Wierd Sickle.

2. To get a Wierd Hoe go to the inner inn and go to that door beside the counter. When it reaches 8:01 am go inside and Tim will give you a Strange Hoe.

3. There are two ways to get the Seed-Making Room. 1. Be friends with the mad scientist and go to his house when he's there and then he'll give you a Seed-Making room ( The bad part is your son is going to grow up as a scientist) 2. Keep talking to Takakura untill he say's you can order it ( It cost's 6000 gills).

When your cow runs out of milk don't spend the extra 1000gs.

If you buy another cow she hasnt had a baby so you have to use a Mirecal Potion.

So just use a Miracle Potion on the cow that you have. It saves you about 3000g.

To get golden wool push your sheep over to the water trough thing and take out your brush.

(you get it from van) and wash it and brush it every couple of days (you can do it every day if you want).

When its wool grows back shear it and you will have golden wool.


PS: It sells for 600g.

Horse race
Save the game, then go to the horse race.

Do not bet yet. Make a note of the winners, then reset the game. Load the saved game, then bet 99 on the winners.

You can get a lot of medals. Also, if you are competing, bet on yourself if you take extremely good care of your horse. If you win, you will get a lot of medals.

Calling horse
Press R(2) to calls you horse from anywhere outside to you.

Chinese checkers mini-game
If you enter Kassey's house when one of them is there you can sometimes play a mini-game that is similar to Chinese checkers.

Tombstone washer mini-game
In Chapter 2, go to Nina's grave at 6:30 a.m. and talk to Garen. You can play the tombstone washer mini-game.

Easy money
Buy a Seed Mixer and put in any of the fruit from tree crops. Sell the seeds instead of the fruit to make lots more money. For example, grapes sell for about 35 G each but the seeds are worth 450 G each.

Around the middle of Chapters 1, 2 or 3 you can buy a Seed Maker. Get at least one tree seed from Vesta Farm and plant it in your fields. The most fertile place would be a good location.

After the tree has grown, flowers and, makes fruit, take the grown fruit and put it in the Seed Maker.

Leave it for three games days. When you return, the Seed Maker will have seeds. Sell the seeds to Van to get a large amount of money.

You can also do this to other vegetables and fruits and not have to buy seeds from the farm, which will cut back on the seeds that you buy every season. The Seed Maker will give you two seeds for every vegetable or fruit you put in.

For example, if you put one peach in the Seed Maker you will get two peach seeds. Note: You can put a total of twelve vegetables or fruit in the Seed Maker.

This trick requires the Ruby Spice from Ruby. Go to your kitchen and choose any type of food (salad, soup, desserts) and use only one Ruby Spice. You will get another Ruby Spice.

Repeat this process until you have 99 of them. Remember to keep one somewhere so you can keep doing this. Each Ruby Spice can be sold for 100 G.

Quick rest
Select the "Diary" option and choose to go to sleep. Save the game when asked, then reset the GameCube. Load that saved game file to resume just before the time you went to sleep, but fully rested.

Change chicken gender
Note: This trick only works for a hatching chicken. Do not save the game until you get the gender of chicken that you want.

After the chick hatches, reset or turn off the Gamecube. The chick might change to male or female. Note: This may require a few attempts.

Change weather
If it is raining or there is a hurricane, enter the mine and dig. After you are done, the rain or hurricane will be over.

Also, keep turning your television on and off while on the weather channel. Stop when the weather that you want appears.

Adopt a cat
Befriend Romona. Somewhere in Chapter 2 and up, Romona will come to your house and let you name and have it.

Freeze your baby
Bring your son to the place where you link. Put it on the right side on the shadow and it will freeze. You cannot pick it up or do anything else.

It can still move normally as if you were pressing X, but it cannot walk around and you cannot pick it up.

Your wife will have to pick it up when it is its bedtime so you do not have to worry losing it.

It will also return to normal if you reset.
