Follow my instructions to get lots of beans: Go to the second floor and go through the door on the left wall that ISN"T the girls bathroom (if you go through the right door there should be a fire crab somewhere in there, if you don't see the crab it's probably around the corner). When your're in the room, there should be a door on the right wall. Enter it. In this room, there is 3 boxes that look exactly alike. Flipendo them each as many times until no more beans come out. About 10 beans come out of each box, so you can get near 30 beans when you leave. When your're done with those boxes, you can exit and re-enter the room and the boxes will reset themselves, so you can get more beans until you have 100!
*There's also a chest in that room that contains a wizards card, you just have to cast diffindo on it first. Also, when you need to find the witches' hat from the common room Lost & Found board, it is in this room.*
Lasting Shield

Once you have recived the Lumos and Expelliamas spells you can make a longer lasting shield. When you cast lumos you have to wait until your wand is nearly all the way in the air and then cast expolliamas then you have a shield that lasts about 4 seconds.

You want to stun them with your first spell, one at a time. So when you cut the cord, stun the imp, grab it and toss it over the edge. Same with the other. Otherwise it's going to annoy you while you do your thing. Once the imps have been tossed over the edge, continue on with what you were doing.

Always remember that every 10 cards you collect increases your stamina bar by a small amount. This can help in places where you can lose a lot of stamina, such as the Expelliarmus challenge. (If anyone has NOT done this, then prepare for great annoyance.
Yum, yum, tasty STAMINA food
Chocolate Frogs, Pumpkin Pasties and Caldron Cakes all help out when you want a boost of stamina. Chocolate Frogs need to be stunned by Flipendo before feasting time though.
