Ok I just started a new game and chose charmander. Im on route 22 and I can't find a mankey for the firs gym and my butterfree didnt learn confusion when it evolved..is my red version corrupted or wut?

I've gone through the Ice Cave and gotten to that town. When I went to the gym there was a person that told me Clair was in the Dragon Cave. I surfed across the water to the Dragon Cave, but there was someone in front of that who said something like "No, only chosen trainers are allowed in here. Please leave..." So, how do I get into the cave or whatever I have to do so I can finish the game?

Someone please help! I need need immediate glitch help STAT! It all happened a few weeks ago. Everything was fine, I was training in Mt.Silver then left. As soon as I flew, instead of landing in the desired area, the game reseted and showed the "This game is only for Gameboy Color" message famous among hackers and cheaters. But I never used any cheating device ever! And the only glitch I performed was transferring a "Mew Glitch" Mew from Pokemon Blue about a year ago. But nothing strange ever happened since. I haven't done anything unusual. I was freaked out so I turned my game off and on. I was relieved to so that my save file was okay. But then things got worse. The game started freezing easier. And now I'm encountering that same message constantly! One time, it even had glitched colors like the Gold/Silver Coin Case glitch. Fortunetly, it was not permanent. But the glitches got worse and more often! Recently, I entered a town an my character dissapeared, then it show the Z animation like in battle battle but this was outside! Then the colors got glitchy and it showed a yellow text box with glitched dialog. Then of course, the same showed that "only for Gameboy Color" message again. I'm freaking out man!! I don't know how how to stop the glitches! They keep getting worse! I'm worried that my save file will be corrupted soon! That can't happen! My file is too precious! Especially now that I caught my very first shiny about two weeks ago. (shiny Tangla) What do I do!? Someone please help! I'm freaking out here! I can NOT lose my precious file! Somebody please, tell me what to do! Is it the system's fault or the game's? Do I switch systems? So far, I'm trying to buy another Crystal and a link cable to trade my special Pokemon in case something goes wrong. But how do I stop this glitch frenzy!? Do I send it to Nintendo? Do I trade my Pokemon and items and let my game die? What's causing this to happen and how do I fix it? I'm scared of losing my special Pokemon!

There are plenty of slide games around the cave of unknown and I have done kabuto and the one you need to surf to get to but I cannot do the one on the other side of the cave down from the city where the first gym is. I CAN"T GET REGICE!!! I can get to his cave and all and go into the room that conceals him, but every time I try to battle him I'll waste up hundreds of my ultra-balls on him. To start, I borrowed crystal version from my friend cause I wanted to play it lol, and after awhile I got bored with wasting time lvling Pokemon, and I remembered I had a gameshark (idk how old it is, but I got it like 5+ years ago)for the gameboy, so I added the game to it, and I added the codes that are on this site for rare candies and turned em on, then started the game with the codes on, but I have to flip this switch on the gameshark to play the game, and when I start the game, I don't have the candies??
I did the codes right, but is there another problem?
