Right, I have been playing my Pokemon gold and got to the place where you get 5th badge and I am stuck, so I went to a walkthough and it says in Ecruteak city/town go to the dance place and fight 5 people well I go there and 1 guy is standing outside and there are 3 people and a Pokemon inside so the walkthough says talk to them and one asks to battle 5 people then you get surf, so I asked all of them and they say somethings and nothing happens.

For some reason, on my crystal version,the time of day has stopped changing when I turn it off. If I turn it of at 2pm, when I turn it back on, it will still be 2pm.
