Mega Man Zero 4 FAQ/Walkthrough

by MavrickHunters

Rockman Zero 4

I need some ASCII here.

Before reading this, take note that the guide reveals as much
spoilers as possible from a person that cannot read Japanese.
It could reveal more if I had a person that translated some of the
text. :)

V. Story
**********************************************************************

Megaman Zero 1-Zero is revived by Ciel after 100 years of sleep to
save the reploid race from being "retired" by Copy X who brands them
as "Mavericks". Zero defeats Copy X and his 4 guardians, proving he
is Zero, the legendary reploid.

Megaman Zero 2-1 year after the events Megaman Zero 1, Zero arrives
at the new resistance base, only to have to defeat Elpizo, who has
gone mad for power, seeking the Dark Elf, and even retiring X. Zero
succeeded in stopping him, but the Dark Elfs whereabouts are unknown.

Megaman Zero 3-2 Months later, Zero and Copy X compete to find the
Dark Elf. Copy Xs death was later rigged by Dr. Weil, and he becomes
dictator of Neo Arcadia. Soon after, Zero destroys Omega, who X and
Zero worked together to defeat 100 years ago and frees the Dark Elf
of Weils curse.

Megaman Zero 4-Eh heh, this'll be done later.

VI. Walkthrough
**********************************************************************

Now, you're in the title screen, choose New game, top is easy mode,
bottom is normal, I chose bottom because I wanted to start with some
mode that wouldn't be a complete walk in the park. By completing
normal mode, you'll unlock hard mode. I'm not there yet.

Ah, done with all that dialogue? You might like the fact that it's
Ciels voice. Enjoy watching Zero kill things with his buster gun and
his Z-Saber. After that, read below.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
1a. Intro
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Zero Knuckle Skills available for use

-Flame Shot
-Flamethrower
-Droid Shield
-Grenades
-Aiming Buster
-V Shot
-Laser

What, done already? Ok, press start and change the button settings to
your preference. Next, see that you have a new weapon called Zero
Knuckle. Equip it if you want. Then prepare to just run from left to
right, and kill whatever poses a threat to you. Unlike the Megaman
Zero games of old, there's nothing to grab here. Do note that Zero
has a new voice when performing his charged saber.

Also, take note that whatever you kill with the Zero Knuckle, you
will borrow that weapon, otherwise you will just do damage or steal
a shield if they have 1.

Anyway, head from the left to the right in this introductory stage.

The new purple enemies are basically the little blue dudes from the
previous Megaman Zero games with a different sprite, upgraded to take
slightly more damage I think. But now, kill them with your Zero
Knuckle and acquire Flame shot if you want.

If you decide to grab the flamethrower weapon, you can burn away a
part of the train. There's a bunch of boxes that can be grabbed to
get a couple grenades, but you use it like throwing away a weapon
when you press the Zero Knuckle button.

After you get about halfway, you'll be treated to a cutscene. Zero
switches trucks and we see something rising. A desert submarine?

Someones got to lay off the drugs. After that, you'll enter it. >_>

Well, whatever it was, just continue onward, grab the copter droids
V shot if you must, if you need healing, Z-knuckle, grab his floating
thing, head left to heal, go on and meet up with the...boss of the
intro level. This thing is so weak, it can barely be called a boss.

! Strategy: Z-Saber combo, and Z-Knuckle breaks the wires at his !

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After you blow this thing apart, you'll be ranked, and at this point,
you should have S, A, B, or at worst a C. Most likely B and above.

Now, enjoy the cutscene. You'll see Zero run up to 3 people/reploids,
I can't tell. I'll assume the red head is Neige. Her 2 friends goes
off to the right somewhere, and Ciel catches up and joins in on the
conversation. Neige then starts talking about Weil, and Zero is just
not talking much. Hmm, looks like its all buisness with him, when was
the last time you heard Zero joke? Thought so. Once Neige finishs
talking about Weil, Zero decides to say something. Then Neige leaves,
and we follow. You can see if you, or the enemy burned away a specific
part of the truck or not.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
1b. Welcome to the base
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, if you finish reading the dialogue, you've the option of saving,
top option is save, bottom probably is cancel, save if you want,
reset if your mission score wasn't to your liking. You can now head
outside, just to discover it's not really a base, more like camp.

Note: You don't get to keep the Z-Knuckle weapons when returning to
the base.

What was wrong with the old resistance base anyway? It had beds,
cannons, an elevator, and some nice music too. ^_^

Least camp looks somewhat decent, but still, it's a bunch of trucks.

Anyway, like the other MMZ games, talk to the people in the base, and
luckily, there's only Cerveau, Alouette, Hirondelle in the rightmost
truck, and maybe the security guard.

Report back to Ciel. They have a chat, and we are asked if we are
ready for the second part of the intro, and this is basically another
mission, but no useable rewards, but is required to move ahead in the
game. So, get going.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
1c. Ruins of Neo Arcadia
----------------------------------------------------------------------

New Z-Knuckle weapons/shields available for use.

-Drill
-Droid eating plant
-Turret
-Shelluar shield
-Aiming buster
-Spread shot

As you start the stage, start walking/dashing right, kill the mole
and turret droids if you must, their weapons are kinda useless.

After killing 2 of each, you should come to a Droid Eating plant.
It's not reccommended that you grab that, but, it is the -only- way
to kill it. Since that weapon is pointless, just throw it at the next
thing you see. After killing some more of the above 3, or jumping
over them, you'll see water, say hello to crab droid, grabbing it
directly nets you a Shelluar shield, apparently weaker, since when
it's still on the droid, 1 slash destroys it, and reveals a (IMO)
better aiming buster. Grab it before it commits suicide by jumping
down the hole if you must. It has a faster firing rate.

Anyway, continue on, kill a few more, drop down the waterfall, if you
want some energy crystals, head left, if not head right. Either way,
you have to head right. Destroy the Aiming droid, and the Laser droid
nearby. Jump and press up as you touch the bars of some device. Press
up to go up. Get rid of a enemy that floats, and explodes so smack it
away, along with that nearby laser droid. Head onto a moving platform,
and let it do the killing for you.

Jump on the bars via pressing up, or by using the Z-Knuckle, and past
the spikes, kill off a few cannon hoppers, the shots are too random,
grab it if you want. You're better off with aiming buster. Kill the
copter droid, and a bunch of aiming droids, enter the door and face,
the boss of this place.

! Fist of Fury-Fist comes out of the background and trys to hit you. !
! !
! Nuclear Launch Detected-Just move out of the way of the incoming !

! !
! Ring shot-Fires out several green rings, jump up high on the walls !
! to avoid. !
! !
! Strategy-Charged Z-Saber slashes followed by the traditional 3 hit!
! combo. You can't hit his missles when he launches them, but those !
! platforms can be helpful staying in good health. His fist is easy !
! to dodge, just walk away, literally. Those rings of his are easily !
! dodged by climbing the walls. Also, every now and then, he likes to!
! go underground for some reason. To defeat him, give him couple of !
! well deserved and well timed slashs on his head. !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After that...thing, head right, meet up with a cocktrice like reploid.
Then watch it go to a bunch of gangsters, ok so they're a colorful
group and think they are godly, but we have the Z-Knuckle, or Z-claw
as some would call it.

With that thing, we have nothing to fear, they all introduce
themselves, and the enemy commander arrives, his name is Kraft, no he
is not Axl, or the one from the macaroni&cheese commercial. They all
run off somewhere, for fear of the power that is your, or rather
Zeros hand. Actually, they probably have their own missions, and you
have to go and waste them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
2a. Intermission
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You'll automatically be transported back into the base. Now, if you
have Japanese character knowledge, it might be sufficient enough to
create some chips to go along with Zero in the lab later on. Do try
to remember you'll be needing the parts gained from enemies, which
are those little icons you may have come across.

Well, I'll do a short explanation of how it works, first talk to
Cerveau, select the top option, press right, and select parts, go
down to the last option on the right side and confirm it. Various
items are made from various combinations. Later on, you'll be able to
get more parts. Minimum amount of parts required to forge a new chip,
this and MMBN5 reminds me of Boktai 2.

Now then, for less experienced gamers, if you need help already, go
to room 001.

Talk to Alouette, when she asks you a question, select top to raise
elves, bottom to learn about them. Top requires energy crystals,
typical. First level feeding requires 50, second is 100, third is 300,
fourth is 600, fifth level is 1000, sixth level needs 1500, and the
last level needs 3500. 7050 in total, have fun hunting. Honestly, you
don't need that much, first of all, overusage affects your cyberelf
score, you didn't think this game would be that easier, did you? It
had to have some drawback, otherwise hardmode couldn't be so hard.

Anyway, head out of the truck, and to the right, past the security
guard, and view a cutscene. Zero walks into the camp, which seems
technogically advanced. They have a conversation, and Zero, like
always, doesn't talk much and leaves.

You'll wind up back in the main part of the base. The operator finds
the 8 wimps from earlier and we can destroy them. But first, read
the below.

Note: To gain EX skills, you'll need the weather icon showing the boss
needs to be blinking red. Do remember that if it's blinking red, the
boss will have their EX attack, so, they'll be harder to defeat. If
the boss you want to defeat is not flashing, just enter the ruins
stage, exit and see if it's flashing then.

Bosses have their EX attack depending on certain weather. Remember
they have it if it's red.

Minotaur-Lightning, Electric elemental
Cocktrice-Sunny, non elemental
Butterfly-Sunny, Fire elemental
Pegasus-Cloudy, Electric elemental
Wolf-Raining, Ice elemental
Kraken-Raining, Ice elemental
Turtle-Sunny, Fire elemental
Mandrago-Sunny, Non elemental

Like the Megaman X game series, you can fight them in ANY order.
However, with a return of the old boss system, leaves the elemental
chip system in the games of old. Only EX skills are elemental.

Try to remember to talk to the security guard, he gives you something,
I'm not sure, but it could be a chip recipe. Beware, using the wrong
ones will result in making another part, usually useless common ones.

Also, we have another part of the base you can get yourself familar
with, remember the camp, feel free to check it out. Some guy gives
you something. Also, some kid there gives something too, and you can
destroy a water tower, but let's not, because we have better things to
destroy. If you do destroy it, it somehow repairs itself when you
reload the game, even after you save. Only thing that comes out of it
is water.

Now then, head back to the operators room, and select the Cocktrice
like boss, it's the one with a beak. I selected it when its icon was
flashing red, because I just wanted the EX skill.

Note, because there is no -best- order, and the fact that you won't
earn elemental chips, just scroll down and find the boss and stage
you're looking for.

Accept
Switch weather-(Wtf)
Decline

Those are your options.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
2b. Chicken Little
----------------------------------------------------------------------

New Z-knuckle Weapons/shields that can be borrowed in this area.

-Bouncing wheel
-Centipede bombs
-Ice Shield
-Flame Bombs
-E-Shot
-Star Shot
-Mettool hat
-Cross bombs

Note: If its not sunny, the outside will be frozen.

As you start the stage, dash/walk forward, whip out your Z-Saber and
kill that crazy motorcyclist. Then, kill a airborne Centipede. Dash
over the spikes, kill a turret, go over another pit of spikes, kill
another centipede, and keep moving. Take out the turret, and give the
insane motorcyclist 2 quick hits from your Z-Saber to dispose of him.

Above the entrance is a health capsule, but its pretty difficult to
get, and reccommended against getting at this point.

Enter the...main area?

Anyway, have your Z-saber equiped, and have a killing spree with the
turrets. =)

Take the exit out the door, and...this is where your climbing the
monkey bars ability will be tested. Remember, although you can't use
your Z-Knuckle, you can still use Z-Saber. If you fail, you will land
on spikes, and Zero will most likely die. Just get the top left of the
first belt, then grab the second and kill the 2 turrets on the path to
the top right to exit the spiked pit.

Now, in this place, be careful of the moving blocks, getting crushed
is a 1 hit ko. Get past the first one, kill the centipede, and now is
your first test. Get past the moving killers, or die. If you do get
past it, kill 2 turrets. Hop on a moving block to cross the spikes.
Then get past another set of blocks going up and down to try and stop
you. Soon enough, you'll be in a narrow area, where 1 block moves
around, and there's 1 safe spot. Stay in that spot until it goes back
to the left. Once it's at the left, or starting to, drop down, and
head out the door to the right.

Now, dash forward a few times to conserve mission time, and see this
huge building. Now, break those bars with the Z-Knuckle, other weapons
work to, but Z-Knuckle works with 1 hit, uncharged. After pulling all
of those things out, the building will fall down, well, make that sink
down into a new accessible part of the area. You can see it's falling,
because of the background. Theres 2 ways you can go, both forward, I
chose top.

Dash to the right, and keep moving forward to exit. Kill that blockade.
Its useless. Now, repeat that killing part and move on. You'll wind up
in a fork, but only the right path is accessible. Kill the 3 mettools,
I honestly thought these things died out, but it doesn't matter, just
move out of the mettool room.

Welcome, to Block hopping version 2. First part is easy, just climb
up, and to the right. Nows the hard part. Climbing skills are needed.
Also, the disappearing disks from MMZ3 are back. Top left, near the
entrance has a extra life, but I didn't grab it. Z-Knuckle may prove
to be handy here, as it extends your grab by a bit.

We're done with the spikes part, and here's the boss. Zero and it
have a little conversation, after we're done, we are now tested to see
if we can make chicken cutlet. =D

! beam on you. Since the floor is constantly rising and falling, it !
! can mess his tackle up and you can combo him then. Just don't !
!expect him to be easy like the last 2. !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I managed to grab a rank of 97(S rank) while pausing to type out his
moves a few times. By turning him into chicken cutlet in the right
weather, you'll recieve the Time Stopper EX skill for your Buster gun,
you'll also recieve 10 extra points for weather too.

After killing the boss, revisit the stage and kill the motorcyclists
for 3 of their chips. You can make a quick foot chip at the lab if
you do.

Now, feed your elves if you want or can, and head to the blue wolf,
which I'll call Lunaedge instead of Fe-n-rir, because it sounds like
Fe-f-nir, and Lunaedge looks like this Yugioh card called Fenrir.
I might change his name later.

New Z-Knuckle weapons/shields

-Claws
-mettool hat
-pantheon shock blade
-light bulb
-Explosive wheel

If have Gemblems ex skill...then include the following skills

-Freeze cannon
-Super Spreader shot
-Red Card

Note: All Ice and snow are gone if it's sunny.

You'll start the mission in a icy place, kill the 3 purple guys on the
stairs. Now, at the top, head right. If you're following my order, you
don't have flaming power, so head right. Beware of sudden pop ups of
enemies in the snow. Several of the snow droids release frozen
shrapnel when found, so the buster gun might be useful. Grabbing them
gives you their claws.

Enter the area, and hit the orange switch. Head down. Keep hitting the
switches on the right, the left makes the elevator go up. Those purple
guys can get annoying, but 2 slashes brings them down.

Keep going forward, only purple things, this would be fun if they
looked like Barney... Anyway, when you get far enough, you'll be on
ice. Continue downward, and enter the mini boss doors.

Machine o crap

Attacks
make wheelies
Weakspot-its 4 wheel making areas.

Wheelies travel at a considerable speed, it increases with each spot
you destroy, and because those wheels and the boss take up most of the
room, Charged Z-Saber works well, but not Z-Knuckle, unless if it's
the claw, in which case may prove to be useful while charging the
Z-saber. If you have the flame saber, then that's even better.

Afterwards, knowing that you probably got hit, be careful of the
purple guys and the mettools, which are near the ice spikes. After you
get past them, climb up and hit the right switch a few times to go up,
and repeat, the buster gun is helpful here, especially with Time
Stopper. Take note that the ice spikes won't be here if it's sunny,
and flame saber won't melt it.

After moving forward, you'll notice a electrified door, it needs a red
card, and we don't have one, come back when you have the flame saber,
or when it's sunny, and we'll talk. Anyway, move up and against the
escalator, I dunno what you can get from grabbing the lights, but you
can.

Keep moving forward, beware the purple floating things, those are pure
elves, you'll need sunlight to kill them. They also act like the things
from Morph Moths stage in MMX2, they jump into some empty body and take
control of it, when they die, they'll try to find a new one. The light
bulb we got can move them, but that's about it.

Welcome to Ice Wolfs frozen throne. Hey, this is a boss that is
actually kinda cool, ok, bad pun there, but to me, he is.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a 96 for beating him, still S rank, but the EX Skill is nice.
Also, now that you've beaten him, redo the stage when it's not
flashing red for the red card, meaning sunny, you have to Z-Knuckle
it, and it only has 1 use.

2d. Pegasus' Shocking Fortress
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: If you have the ice blade wave ex skill, you can temporarily
freeze the water in this stage to travel on top of the buildings.

New Z-Knuckle weapons

-Electric Stick
-

Mission: Kill idle weather machines? Meh, just kill whatever you find.
I'm not telling you where they are, just kill them.

If you're asking about the queer names, I'll change them when I find
some better ones, right now, get your subtanks filled, maybe create
some chips if you can.

Next ensure Pegasus stage, top left most, is flashing red. Accept the
challenge when ready.

Ooh, a sky city. Well, we're not in heaven, however we do have to
take out a flying trash can. Anyway, high winds will mess your
jumping, clouds will conceal enemies, and the boss is going to have
his EX skill. The things we do for EX skills...

Start the stage as usual, head forward and kill a bunch of enemies,
the weapons arn't worth grabbing here, so experiment later, just
chop the enemies 2X ice tank, 2x floating eyeball droid apart.

Head into the door. Now when you approach the copter droid, winds
will start pushing you back. Dashing will help here, as will dash
jumps. After the 2nd copter droid, the valiants you see will be a bit
of an annoyance, so be careful when jumping, you don't want to fall
into a bottomless pit, or take a lot of damage, now do you?

After getting past the bottomless pit, kill the start droid, a few
more valiants, and dash jump past the red spikes. After 1 bunch of
pits comes another bunch. Joy. After the 1st set, kill the incoming
star droid, if it damages you and knocks you into the spikes, remember
you have temporary invincibility, which should be enough to retaliate
and get to a safe spot.

After that, kill off another star droid. Kill another bunch of
valiants, and climb the stairs.

Dragon of the Wind

Damage is halved, I believe.

4 invisible bars, 128 points of hp

Attacks

Grab- flys along ground to grab zero.

Tail laser- fires a laser from low height, middle height, then low.
Dodge by jump, stand, and jump again.

Thunder blast- fires out a beam, splits into 3, which go split
vertically. Stay close to him, he tends to fire them too far off.

This freak is annoying. He enjoys going up to the ceiling. Note, you
CAN be harmed by his tail, so you can't always be behind him. Just stay
right in front of him and make a helluva lot of jumping slashs. Or
time yourself with triple slashs. Otherwise be prepared for 1 helluva
fight.

After getting rid of some flying trash, head out the door. Kill the
star droid. Kill a few more star droids and elemental creators.

By now, you should've gotten used to the wind. Get past a bunch of
rising and falling platforms, there's a health recover max here
somewhere, at the last one, dash jump to the above platform and break
that machine. Then past a few elemental creators, and there's a last
few star droids for you to send to the stars, so do so.

Hopefully by now, you've learned to adjust your movements with the
wind. Enter the boss chamber.

! Strategy: Since this flying garbage can is always flying, a !

! freeze him with the Ice Wave EX skill. He'll usually fly away from !
! Buster Gun shots, and Z-knuckle is much more close range, so the !

! between. His Sengatotsu hurts, so be careful. !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Turning him into horse sashimi gets you Sengatotsu.

Now then, you'll earn that ex skill and hopefully maintain a rank.
Mine is weakening, because I had no idea how to maintain my mission
score, but destroying the weather machines is it. There's about 4-6,

----------------------------------------------------------------------
2e. Gemblems Hellhole
----------------------------------------------------------------------

New Z-Knuckle weapons available
-Dual laser
-Valiant missle
-Drill Rod
-Flame Saber

Woo, start the mission, go through the place, kill the flying guy,
which is a dual laser droid, Sengatotsu the nearby valiant, repeat
doing that once, fall down, head left, kill the aiming droid, or
grab it, cut open the drill machine, meaning triple slash, and
Sengatotsu. Slice away the 2 aiming droids, kill the valiant, and
the 2 aiming droids vertical to each other.

Take out another drill machine, a laser droid, a flying droid,
another drill machine, another flying droid, 2 more drill machines,
another flying droid, then a laser droid, and kill the last flying
droid which is high in the air with the aiming buster and then
prepare yourself.

Dragon of the Fire

HP-Invisible 4 bars, no invincibility, damage is halved.

Attacks

Tail laser-same as dragon of the wind
Grab-Same as dragon of the wind
Fire tower-shoots out a tower in the middle, pulls you toward it,
don't jump, instead walk toward him and just walking slashs when he's
down.

To stop his grab, use lightning saber. Other than the fire tower,
nothings new and its basically the same stuff. However, I got the
feeling his grab is faster than his windy counterpart.

It dies and it breaks the ground under you, and now you have to head
right. The lava beam here may really injure you, or even kill you if
you don't be careful. It does 10 damage, just to let you know, and
since Zero without elf life bar enhancements, only has 16 at max,
you'll know when it fires when the place is starting to go red. Go
right, kill the valiant and avoid the beam. Kill another and head
forward, you can hide in the ceiling, or in a hole. Your choice on
these. Kill a few more of these guys, kill the pop up flame spinners
with Sengatotsu from a nearby hole. Note, the lava beam will kill
enemies for you, it is unconfirmed if it adds to your mission kill
total.

When you get to 2 valiants in a spacey area, kill them both, head up
a flame spinner to a safe spot, grab the Ceramic Titanium from the
valiant, I've no idea what it is, but hey, it's free, so your choice,
otherwise head through. Skip the extra life unless you need it, and
stay down in the hole. Let the lava beam cannon kill the flame spinner
in your way. Skip the next flame spinner, jump in the hole and
Sengatotsu the other one while the lava beam is above you just to
ensure your kill rate earns you a good score. Head forward, down, kill
the valiant on the left, head down, Z-Knuckle the flame spinner for a
Flaming Z-Saber, cool. Sadly it's near worthless against the boss and
flame spinners, but on the other enemies, this'll work nicely.

Anyway, kill some cannon hoppers, climb up the lava beam walls, be
careful a bit, they do 6 damage, kill a valiant, climb up a bit more,
enter the boss chamber and prepare to put a shock to his system,
literally.

! Strategy-This guy can actually defend, his hard annoying shell !
! will block any incoming attacks if he can see and react to it. !
! When he's standing still, Z-combo him, and/or use the Sengatotsu, !
! because he's weak against electric. If you can't dodge his cannon !
! beam, just get hit by the flames, it hurts less. Some of this guys !
! moves remind me of Magma Dragoon, such as his Shoyuken. Basically, !
! he's a sumo version of Magma Dragoon. !

i. Zero VS Kraft, Round 1
----------------------------------------------------------------------

You'll return to the base, and after some dialogue, you've the option
of saving, if you're satisfied with your rank, there's 2 options,
save(top), go ahead with mission(bottom, save.

Mission objective, put out all fires(randomly put) and save the
humans.

New Z-Knuckle abilities available
-Tongue rod
-Megaton Hammer
-Water gun
-Flame Bomb

You'll instantly be sent off to some place. Before doing anything,
enable your newest EX skill, most likely the flame saber ex skill.
Head to the right, kill what appears to be a relative of Burble
Heklot, and keep going. Kill several valiants and Burble Heklot
wannabes. The Tongue rod can be useful for getting rid of the
froggies on ground. The Flame saber EX skill is useful for killing
the valiants, takes them out with 1 hit. When you get to the tower
area, it's time to put out fires and save people.

Kill the Hammer droid, enter, kill the valiant, Sengatotsu helps to
save time here, exit, and head right to grab a water spout. Believe
me, it's needed to put out the fires. It might be part of the mission
score, so do it anyway. Enter the blue trucks door, and kill it.
Exit, and head right again. Enter another blue truck, and kill it.
Exit and put out some fires. After that save another person in the
blue truck. When you get to about 4 people and 1 kid, talk to them,
and once you're done, if you need health, and if you can actually
climb, the top of the tower has a health capsule.

Go the the far right, get ready, for Krafts macaroni&cheese!!!(gets
slapped) Well anyway, this guy may take longer to kill, and his moves
are a bit unexpected, but easy to dodge.

! Hit him to stop it. 4? units of damage. !
! !
! Strategy-If he uses his missles, just slash and let go of the !
! forward button or you'll fly into the impact. When you see a red !
! laser, dash jump over him, if he's at the side, attack him, or try !
! dash under his beam cannon. His gunblade isn't as good as Squalls, !
! just dash jump over him. Grenade Cracker is unexpected and a bit !
! hard to dodge, but there are openings. His Super Beam Cannon !
! requires you to be directly under him at the rightmost or leftmost !
! side to avoid. Since he has so many openings, and is easier than !
! Heat Gemblem, not to mention the flame saber allows you to add to !
! the combo, he is easy. Get touched by him and you'll automatically !
! take 3 units of damage. !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once you beat him, you'll see how well you've done, I got a 97, and
you'll recieve no EX skill from this guy, no matter what happens.
After dealing a finishing hit, Kraft bows down to you. ^_^ He then
stands up again, says some stuff, and Neige walks in from the right.
She then gets kidnapped by Kraft after some talk. Looks like Kraft has
the hots for her. ^_^ Zero appears to be worried?

Auto transfer back to base.

Back at the base, Ciel tells you some stuff. Press up to talk, press
down and A to accept it, press A 3 times to save.

Right now, all you can do is talk to people in the base, feed your
elves if you can and want, and save Neige.

Well, let's go save Neige from Krafts evil wants. Weather doesn't
matter here, whether you decide to change it or not.

K, bad pun...Just go.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
ii. Rescue Mission
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission objective, save Neige.

Before the mission starts, Ciel and Zero have a small conversation
before heading off to unknown area.

New Z-Knuckle abilities available

-Laser cannon

Start the mission noticing it's night. Head right, disect the 2
motorcyclist, and a valiant with the flame saber ex skill.

Kill the Laser cannon, grab it if you want, head down, or rather fall
down as it's faster. You'll immediately notice yourself getting blown
to the left, so either Buster Gun the fan, or use the Ice blade wave.

Kill 2 cannon hoppers, and a pair of fans. Head right, not up, after
you head right, now you can head up, kill the valiant and the fan to
the left, the valiant and 2 fans to the right, 1 is down and hides 2
large energy crystals. 1 is directly ahead and requires a gun like
weapon. After that, kill a few valiants, and pretty soon, you'll be
at the boss chamber, that was surprisingly fast.

Just look at this thing, it's big, ugly, and stupid. A lot like
Megaman X3s opening boss.

! Resist-Dunno, weakness, dunno >_> !

! Punch-Raises a...fist out of the background, and tries to hit you !
! with it depending where you are. Climb on wall to dodge. !
! !
! Dual Shockwave-Both...fists appear from the background and are in !
! the air, close to center, comes down, hits floor, and causes !
! shockwaves. Stay on wall to dodge. !
! !
! Dual Fists-Both...fists appear from the background and are very !
! close to the top sides of wall, comes down and tries to hit each !
! other. Dash under 1 to dodge. !
! !
! Falling Blocks-Breakable blocks fall from the unseeable ceiling, !
! smaller than Zero, don't waste your time breaking these. !
! !
! Strategy-He's very easy if you know the above. From what I !
! described, I may have made him too easy. Since his head's the only !
! weakness, a jump slash followed by a flame saber hit done a few !
! times will cause him to overheat and explode. If you don't have the!
! flame saber EX skill, stick with charged slashs. !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either this is the first mid level boss to have a visible 3 bars in
the MMZ series, or this is a really short mission.

After beating him, your mission is not yet over, head over to the
right, and free Neige. They have a bit of a reunion, and it's
interrupted by Kraft. Kraft takes out his hand, and is either still
fixing it because of his last battle, or is trying to refrain himself
from grabbing Neige like last time. You can actually see his hand
moving.

Weil soon arrives shortly after. Weil says some stuff and Kraft gets
ready to battle because he's in his battle stance. Zero steps up to
try and protect Neige, or he just wants to duke it out.

After a bit of talk, Neige doesn't seem to be worried, she tosses a
flash grenade, Zero uses a charged saber slash at the ground and they
appear to have gotten away from Kraft and Weils reactions when the
game shifts back into view.

Or not completely, as Zero and Neige are still in enemy territory.

They have a chat, Zero gives Neige his teleporter and she teleports
off, we however, have to get out the long way. Why couldn't Zero have
brought 2 teleporters?

Right after Neige leaves, some alarm sounds, it says something about
1 and 3. The place will be destroyed in 1 minute and 30 seconds?

Well, just head right and dodge/kill stuff.

Go forward and kill 4 valiants, go forward again and kill 4 more.
Go kill 4 more. Kill 2 motorcyclist droids. Now, here's the problem
folks, don't bother with the lightning rod, it's invincible, just
climb over it and a valiant or 2. Climb up on the manual elevator,
kill the valiant and fill up your health with the full recover.

Step on the switch to make the invincible wall of non 1 hit killing
spikes to go up. Jump and pull down on the thing, to make the nearby
non killable spikes go up.

Keep going on and pull down another thing to make the passage
temporary safer. Only thing is that you should dash jump this time.
After that, jump on the button to make the next passage more safer.

Now, do that 1 more time, dodge the lightning rod, 2 motorcyclists
that'll drop from the holes in the ceiling, and the huge invincible
enemy killing bowling balls afterwards. After dodging those things,
or dash jumping over 1 and following a safe path of newly crushed
enemies, dash jump over the 1 hit killing spike pit, kill the valiant,
enter, I mean exit the door, and you're home free.

Now you get ranked, if you don't like your score, reset and redo.
I got a 97(S), AGAIN, I'm not gonna complain. You then arrive back in
the base. Save, and talk to the soldiers, I think 2 generic ones give
you something. Either it was chip recipes or parts.

Hrm. Both useless without the other. Y'know since we didn't get to
revisit the boss that gave us the 4th EX skill, and since we were
probably just rushing to keep a good rank to look nice, revisit a few
stages, and fill up on E-Crystals, get parts, have fun killing things
with different weapons and such. At this point, you have access to the
parts needed to create double jump foot chip and S-Crystals.

-Haitur?, -Gan ga g?an(I notice a character that is used 3 times),
-cannon hopper(only thing that I know that hops is the thing that
jumps to ceiling and ground and on 1 or the other, shoots bullets),
and Something H, it came out to Zero keen H, which just means I'm not
really cut out for translating.

S-Crystal(1 for a subtank at Hirondelles, can get 2 total)

Valiant (fire?)
metool
Something from the flying dual laser droid
Ceramic titanium

Some chip that makes Zero turn blue
Eh-ku-su-te-so-do
Something from the flying dual laser droid

Once you're done with the above, make sure Noble Mandragos stage,
it's near Gemblems, Nobles is 2nd farthest from the left. If you
can't tell who is who, Mandragos colors are teal(kinda light sea
green) and violet.

2f. Noble Mandragos Forest

*Hornet

Mission objective-

Ok, start off the mission by taking a look at the scenary, cut open a
valiant, another valiant with a nearby mole droid, and another pair
of valiant and mole droid. After that, 3 more valiants await getting
hit by your weapons.

Enter the tree. Kill about 5 aiming droids and land near a floating
centipede. Kill that, and there should be some nearby vines. Kill the
plant things, Z-Knuckle them as if they were plants, or slash them
twice and be done with them.

3 ways to get past the vines, 1 is to chop it down without fire
power(3 hits for 1 vine), 1 is to flame saber it(immediate removal of
1 vine after burning), other way is to grab it with Z-Knuckle(same as
flame saber, but faster), which makes it extra easy.

Anyway, get past the vines, kill the aiming droid to get safe passage
to a health capsule if you need it. Kill the Floating centipede, and
now you've an option of going up and left past some spikes for 3
E-Crystals and a health capsule, or going right past some vines to
notice a particular special spot.

Climbing on this disgusting slime a few times removes the slime wall
and lets you claim a extra life. If you want it, wall kick it
quickly by pressing the jump button on it a lot.

Kill a plant, dodge/kill the aiming droid, climb the vines and kill
about 2 more aiming droids.

Giant Fire Ant

Shoots flamethrower
Lays explosive eggs

Z-Saber works well here, and Z-buster too. Hitting it hard enough
will change its direction.

Kill it, exit, kill those 2 laser cannons, and carefully slide down.
Grab ahold of the monkey bars, and climb down using those.
At the bottom, there's another slime wall. Behind it, there's a
ceramic titanium.

Exit the spike room, kill 2 droids, but make sure that you kill the
2nd one very carefully, so that it's thing it uses to fly remains,
grab ahold of that, float to the top, take a left, and grab the
subtank along with 3 large crystals.

Go down, kill 2 more laser cannons, create a path through the vines
with your Z-Knuckle ability, fill your Hp bar/subtank with the full
energy capsule if you need, and finish cutting those vegetables.

Kill another Laser cannon, climb and avoid the copter droids, climb
up, kill a laser cannon, avoid those...things, while quickly and
carefully climbing up via unstable monkey bars.

Enter the boss chamber, and listen to Mother Natures voice.
Ignore, and let's make salad. ^_^

! Honey-Tries to throw honey at you while partially in the ground. !
! If it does hit you, you can't climb walls, and bees come to attack !
! you. Wears off after a while. Or you can just shake it off, the !
! honey can stack. !

! !

! !
! *Earth dance-Twirls up, comes down, and makes a animation similar !
! to Golden Suns quake. !
! !
! Strategy-You might want to consider staying away from the middle, !
! as her attacks tend to be more difficult to dodge, if you're in the!
! middle. Your attacks do much more than her leaf shield heals, so !
! she's just a still target. The honey is something you may have to !
! worry about, but going to the opposite wall usually negates this !
! threat. When she spins on the ground, staying on the wall makes her!
! attack useless. If she decides to plant seeds, you'll have to wait !
! until they sprout to destroy them. Her Earth dance is used when she!
! has 1 bar of life or less, she used it in abundance when she had !
! half a bar. When in the ground, pluck her out of the ground, like !
! the vegetable she is and throw her against the wall. The good thing!
! is, if you have the Electric bulls ex skill, allow her to plant !
! several bullet flowers, then use that ex skill and possibly absorb !
! enough bullets so if you ram/shoot it into her, it can actually be !
! a 1-hit ko. Otherwise, just stick with combos, and/or Z-knuckle, !
! even if the Z-Knuckle does little damage. !
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a 97, as bypassing the slime walls is optional.

Mmm, freshly cut salad earns you the, Tsuibangeki as it's called on
the boards. To use it, Zero must be in the air, and by pressing down
and Z-Saber button at the same time, he will stab whatever is below
him, and when his saber makes contact with the ground, the force of
his saber will send rocks flying.

The bad part to this ex skill is that you need to be in the air, and
if the enemy jumps up, you're going to get hit if your attack doens't
kill it. The good part is that Tsuibangeki is a finisher to the
Z-Combo, and sends rocks flying.

Also, we now have all the Z-Saber ex skills now. Also, by now, it's
quite possible for someone to have all 4 subtanks.

Now, onto Mino Magnax.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
2g. Mino Magnax's Magnetic Storm
----------------------------------------------------------------------

So you've decided to face Mini Magnet, I mean Mino Magnax, it looks
and sounds similar, and there's no real objective here.

____________________________________________________________

-Mission Objective

Complete a certain objective to earn a full 20, otherwise it will be
less depending on how much of the objective was fulfilled.

-Time Taken

Less time taken is better. The more that passes, the less points you
recieve. Some stages may allow you to consume more or less time.

-Damage Taken

Less is better, for Zeros health and for your results, too much
damage taken, when your health bar is empty means Zero died, and you
lose a life, see Retry. There's a limit of damage you can recieve
before it starts affecting your points.

-Enemies killed

You only need a certain amount for each one. Once you achieve the
amount, there is no more need for killing unless it's to protect
yourself, or for the mission objective.

-Retry

You lose 3 for each retry/life lost.

-Weather

Earn 10 for going through and beating the boss when the weather is in
their favor. Otherwise, recieve a 0.

-Elves

Number of main missions beat minus elves used in current mission, if
it goes over the number of missions beat, then the number is negative,
if not then it stays at zero. This number resets to 0 at the start of
each mission. 0 points maximum is what you want and can have at best.
Any other number is negative which brings your score down.

IX. Tips and Notes
**********************************************************************

Tips and Notes
Always remember the Element triangle, what beats what, and what is
strong against what and whatnot.

If you don't like a weapon, throw it at an enemy, it can do damage if
it hits, so it's a good tradeoff, you take some time throwing, they
take some damage.

Throwing weapons such as the motorcyclist wheel can be caught after
bouncing it.

Useless note: If Zero continuously grabs a bar, he will eventually
move back slowly.

All bosses that have visible HP bars take half damage and have a built
in temporary invincibility ability. Combo them to deal some reasonable
damage for a while.

A good example? LunaEdge getting hit by flame saber EX skill. It
SHOULD've do 21 units of damage but no, since 14 damage is already
done with flame saber alone, then the weakness increases the damage
to 21, but since he takes half damage, it's 10.5, probably 10, just
to make your life harder.

\\\\\\\\\
\Secrets\\
\\\\\\\\\\\

Equip Hacker elf level 5, it allows you to always recieve items from
normal enemies. Whats so special? LunaEdges Wheel midboss continously
makes wheel enemies, and a saber slash, preferably the flame elemental
one, will dispose of them easily. Repeating this process will earn you
plenty of E-Crystals, a few parts for chip recipes, maybe just a few
recipes, like, less than 5, fill up your health, and your subtanks as
well.

X. Zeros Stats and weapon stats
**********************************************************************

Starting life bar
16 units

Attacks make bosses invincible, for enemies, ignore the invincibility.

Attack damage are halved on bosses. Damage is always rounded down.

Proof of this, try weak buster shots on bosses with Hacker level 3.
Since damage is cut in half, it does 1.5, but since it was made to
make your life hard, only 1, and if damage WASN'T cut in half, buster
shots would do 2 per hit.

(All?)Regular enemies take regular damage. Flame enemies are still
weak against electric and such.

Charged Z-Slash-16 units of damage, causes invincibility, can't
pierce it.

Walking Slash-6 units of damage. causes invincibility, can't pierce
it.

Dash slash-10 units of damage.

Rolling slash-6-8 units of damage.

Standing Z-slash-8 units of damage, pierces invincibility up to
slash 1, now immune to slash 1.

Standing Z-Slash2-8 units of damage, pierces invincibility up to
slash 2, now immune to slash 2.

Standing Z-Slash3-8 units of damage pierces invincibility up to
slash 3, now immune to slash 3.

2 Variations of slash 3 activated by hacker elves 2 and 4
respectively.

Upward Z-Slash-10 points of damage

Downward Z-Slash Wave-8 points of damage. Same goes with it's released
wave.

Jumping Slash-8 units of damage. Can hit twice on enemies, not
counting bosses.

Jumping spin slash-4 units of damage.

Z-saber EX skills

*Rising Flame Slash, aka slash 4, 14 units of damage, pierces
invincibility up to slash 4, now immune to slash 4. Damage is
multiplied by 1.5 on ice enemies. Damage is multiplied by .5 on
electric enemies. It'll do no damage on electric bosses though.

*Lightning dash blade-5 damage, Pierces invincibility up to 3 hits.
Sparks from impact-8 damage?

Both hits damage is multiplied by 1.5 on fire enemies. Damage is
multiplied by .5 on ice enemies. It'll do no damage on ice bosses
though.

*Ice blade wave-
Slash damage-10 units of damage
Ice blade wave damage-8 units of damage.

Damage is multiplied by 1.5 on electric enemies. Damage is
multiplied by .5 on fire enemies. It'll do no damage on fire bosses
though.

Tsuibangeki
Saber Stab-16 units of damage
Rocks-8 units of damage

Once activated, Zero'll be unable to move unless you hit the ground,
or get hit while performing this attack. When Zero does hit the ground,
Zeros attack will send a rock flying on both sides of him.

Note, you can initiate a powerful multi hitting combo, a good one is
Charged Z-Saber slash, standing slash 1, 2, and 3.

Timing your combos is another thing, if you miss, no matter how
powerful it may be, if you miss, it's useless and leaves you open to
attack. This applies to not only Zeros combos, but for all attacks
for all games.

Later on in the game, when you become more skilled, and acquire 2
certain ex skills, you may initiate a more powerful one. Start it off
with Charged Z-Saber slash, standing slashs 1, 2, 3, follow up with
rising flame saber, and end with noble mandragos ex skill.

If you actually manage to hit with all 6 hits, you're sure to deal
massive damage. Much more if the enemy is ice, and less if the enemy
is electric because of the flame saber.

Or, use a combo without charging, for the people who can't manuever
as well when holding the charge button down.

Here's a earlier usable one. Walking slash, followed by standing
slashs 1, 2, and 3 can take out near half a bosses life bar, and it
will if you add the flame saber slash at the end.

Buster shots and EX skills

Uncharged shot, aka regular pellet shot-2 damage per bullet
Charged slightly-6 damage
Fully Charged-12 damage

Time Stopper Ex skill
Buster shot-6 or 8.
Time Frame damage-2 damage, hits twice on most enemies.
Time Frame activates upon impact.

Ice Javalins EX skill
Ice Spear 1, 2, 3, 4-Spears ignore invincibility caused by the last.
3 per spear.

Explode shot
Buster shot-8 units of damage.
Firey explosion-4 units of damage.

Electric shot

Formula provided by BBEG...

Charge Orb-(2+1 shot absorbed), damage maxes at 128.
Charge release(4+1 per shots absorbed), damage maxes at 33?

Z-Knuckle
Z-Knuckle-6 damage per hit? When used while dashing, your dash
stops.

mech gouki says its 3...however, since its 3 on bosses, it's 6 on
regular enemies.

Charged Z-Knuckle-Said to be 13 damage per hit.

Mostly all items discarded do same damage, mainly 8.

XI. Elf System
**********************************************************************

When you grow 1 level, you grow 1 level for all 3 catagories since
your cyber elf is a super elf.

Note, you may only have 1 of each effect, meaning you can use a level
1 nurse, a level 2 animal, and a level 3 hacker, but you don't get the
effects of level 1 animal, and level 1&2 hackers.

Only exception is if you're in ultimate mode, all Animal and Hacker
effects are on, except for Nurse, otherwise you'd have more than 6
bars of life. In ultimate mode, your allowed elf usage is 27, which
is the max that can be used. There is no penalty,

Elf Level 1: 50 E-Crystals
Elf Level 2: 100 E-Crystals
Elf Level 3: 300 E-Crystals
Elf Level 4: 600 E-Crystals
Elf Level 5: 1000 E-Crystals
Elf Level 6: 1500 E-Crystals
Elf Level 7: 3500 E-Crystals

Level 4: Increases max health by 12. 28 units total.
Level 5: Increases max health by 16. 32 units total.
Level 6: Increases max health by 16. 32 units total. Randomly drops
health capsules. In other words, combines Nurse 1 and 5.
Level 7: Multiplies life by 4 to max out health, totals 64 units.

Animal
Level 1: Increases walking speed. Won't stack with Quick foot chip.
Level 2: Slide down walls slower. Won't stack with Frog foot chip.
Level 3: Fires fire elemental shots at enemy.
Level 4: Lobs ice elemental shots at enemy.
Level 5: Aims for enemy, fires electric elemental shots.
Level 6: Cannot fall into bottomless pit, you float back up if you do.
Level 7: Damage recieved is halved.

Hacker
Level 1: 4 bullets for Buster gun instead of 3.
Level 2: Hold up button on 3rd slash to slash up. Special: Allows you
to quickly use the flame saber EX skill after normal 3rd slash.
Level 3: Saber, Knuckle, and Buster damage is increased by 1, Knuckle
abilities are in question.
Level 4: Hold down button on 3rd slash to form a large cresent wave.
Level 5: Enemies -always- drop items.
Level 6: Double health capsules effect.
Level 7: Attack command+level 2+level 4 hacker.

Directions in parenthesis are in question if it is needed.

Down, (Down-Forward), Forward=Buster charge level 1.

Down, (Down-Forward), Forward, Down, (Down-Forward), Forward=Buster
charge level 2, or EX buster gun shot.

Down, (Down-Forward?), Forward=Charged Z-Knuckle.

Forward, (Down-Forward?), Down=Saber charged shot.

Currently active elves combined numbers=elf total. If this goes past
your allowed elf numbers in missions, your score will drop.

! Strategy-He has lots of openings, but he recovers fast, I !
! reccomend you use charged Z-Saber hits, if you combo, he may jump !
! out of the way, and possibly on you. Or he may use hit paralysis !
! beam on you. Since the floor is constantly rising and falling, it !
! can mess his tackle up and you can combo him then. Just don't !
!expect him to be easy like the last 2. !

! Hp-2 Bars, this could be a fast 64 units of health to take down. !
! !
! Attacks !
! !
! Flying ice claw-flys and uses his ice claw, jumps to other wall, !
! does that, and then comes down in middle, makes ice waves too in !
! mid air. Dodge by staying under him when he's at 2nd wall. !
! !
! Tackle-Dashs at you. !
! !
! Bouncing wolf-spins around in the air and bounces around the place,!
! like the wheel you can grab in some other stage. !
! !
! Dash&Slash-Dashs and Slashs with his ice claw. !
! !
! Strategy-You're gonna want some good reflexes, you fight this guy !
! on ice if you wanted his ex skill. He's tough too, but has a few !
! seconds to recover after doing his attack. Weak against flame !
! saber, so if he's too hard for you, which I understand, due to his !
! speed, get the flame saber first then fight him. Course the boss !
! with the flame saber ex skill is sorta equal in difficulty !

! HP-2 Bars, take his 64 units of health out. !
! !
! Resist-Ice, Weakness-Electric !
! !
! Attacks !
! !
! Flame bouncer-Spins like mad and engulfs his sides in flames, !
! bounces from left to right in flames, also with each bounce, he !
! adds height to it, after he's off screen, there's a chance he'll !
! try to land on you. But usually he starts the revolver beam !
! !
! Beam Cannon-Is in the air, 2 beams of fire are on his side, he !
! fires out a beam, and it goes clock wise too. Dash jump off the !
! wall to his other side, and dash under him to avoid. Getting hit by!
! his side flames hurts less than the beam, so if you can't dodge, !
! remember you'll still gain temporary invincibility when you get hit!
! by the flames. You can still hit him, just hit the area opposite !
! the beam, meaning the opening in the red part. !
! !
! Shoyuken*-Uppercuts in the air, releases 2 flames horizontally. !
! !
! Flame toss-Tosses a flame at you. !
! !
! Flame wave-Spreads his arms and fires out a flame wave that travels!
! up and down across the screen. There's an opening right next to him!
! that's safe, feel free to cut him up over there. !
! !

plagiarism is not allowed, and if you commit it, you suck terribly,
much more than a certain person named Don. You can get sued for this,
this'll go on your permanent record, and your family name will be
disgraced.

Not to mention, if you happen to plagiarize any of my work, you
are 1 hell of pathetic excuse of a person, you deserve to get
literally screwed over by a dog, followed by getting getting run over
by a truck, yes, run over, then thrown into a blender set to the
maximum speed until you're all liquid, and mixed with the stuff they
use to clean toilets with.

Then I'll take a sample of your DNA, clone you, and send you to a
psychotic rapist where you'll be in bondage, where he'll do
unspeakable things to you until you die.

Sites that were stupid enough to take my guide without asking.
- Currently none.

The only sites, and places I allow this faq to be put up are-

- Gamefaqs
- My computer ^_^
- http://www.supercheats.com/

And that's all for now, and if your site isn't on it, find my e-mail,
or pm me on some site, and ask. All you have to do is ask. It's that
simple, well the asking part anyway.
