I. PROLOGUE
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.1 ABOUT THE AUTHOR
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My name is Evan T. Delaney. I live in the Greater Orlando region in Florida
(Longwood to be precise, about 10-15 minutes from downtown). On Gamefaqs.com,
my Gamefaqs' username is harryjamespotter. My current Xbox Live gamertag is
"Fated Destiny". My former gamertags are "Killer or Noobs", "Lord Protector",
and "xXThe ImpalerXx" (I love those 2 month free trials). This is my first
general FAQ, so I hope that even though I am an amateur, you will still be able
to get the information you want. I am currently #2 in my junior class of 700+
students, a swimmer, and an all-county (hey, that's still good) trumpet player.
I have good standings on Gamefaqs, and hope to contribute more when I achieve
my ultimate goal: a moderator. This is my 2nd FAQ (1st General FAQ), and I plan
to use up the memory capacity of the server of Gamefaqs.com (it's just a
dream). For contact information, please scroll down to the bottom of the guide
or press "Ctrl" + "F" and type: "XI."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.2 PURPOSE OF GUIDE
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Really the only purpose of the game is to save Princess Peach, so this guide
will focus on how/where to get the stars and the star keys. Very Simple. Since
there is only one other guide for a pretty good game, I've decided to write
one as well. It is not a guide of where stars are exactly, but rather, the
sequence you should take throughout the game in order to save Princess Peach.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.3 Version History
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version .5 - 10/03/2005, about 90% complete with the walkthrough.

Version 1.000 - 7/14/2006, 7/15/2006; decided to start back up on guide, and
now guide is 100% complete. May come back in the future to add an ASCII picture
on the title page.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
II. Gameplay
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.1 Game Physics
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's not much to say about this game. It is a pinball game that has its
theme situated around Mario's world.

The pinball physics are relatively clean, for where the flipper and Mario
himself meet, Mario shall travel. Obstacles add totally new difficulties into
this game. While that pipe at the bottom might be saving you from dieing for 30
seconds, it will be for naught if obstacles keep blocking you. Truly this type
of pinball game is an art of geometry with walls, flippers, speeds, shapes,
enemies, etc...prove crucial in your Mario's trajectory flight.

The graphics are very wonderfully mirroring the quality of the N64 Super Mario
Game with a 2D engine rendering 3D perfection. The coloring and boards are very
tasteful and satisfying.

Music is very well done, and is never found dull or trite. It perfectly matches
each situation and means the difference between you falling asleep and letting
Mario fall to his death, or keeping up with the pace. It is definitely in my
top 10 for best GBA music.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.2 Controls
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The controls in this game are simple as they should be for a simple game such
as pinball. And to prevent difficulty, a pipe has been added at the base of the
flippers for the need of people not have a tilt function, thus simplifying
gameplay even more.

A-button: Select (such as an item from Toad, a destination with the cannon, or
when to stop the random item box), Right Flipper

B-button: Use Item, Cancel Destination

R-button: Right Flipper

L-button: Left Flipper

D-pad Up: Only for Selection

D-pad Down: Only for Selection

D-pad Right: Only for Selection

D-pad Left: Only for Selection, Left Flipper

Start: "Press Start" and Pause

Select: Only for Selection

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.3 Items
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Item: Star
Description: Rewarded after the completion of an objective. There are 35 of
them in this game. There are doors that have a number on them to specify the
amount of stars needed to go through that door.

Item: Star Key
Description: There are four of these in the game. They are found after killing
a boss. Use them on the statues at the entrance to Bowser's Castle to gain
entry.

Item: Question Mark
Description: If you have already completed an objective that rewards a star,
you will get a question mark in its place. You can also buy a question mark off
Toad in certain locations. Once you hit the question mark, a randomizer will
occur where you may win one of the following:

-Yellow Coin: Receive an increase of +2, +5, +10 of Yellow Coins, or x2
(double) your yellow coins.
-Blue Coin: Receive an increase of +2, +5, +10, or x2 (double) your Blue Coins.
-Pipe: Gives you a blue pipe.
-Yoshi Egg: Get a Yoshi Egg.
-Lightning Bolt: Get a Lightning Bolt item.
-Star: Receive an Invincibility Star.
-Power Mushroom: Receive a Power Mushroom.
-Small Mushroom: Receive a Small Mushroom.
-Thumbs Up: Receive 100,000 points.
-Thumbs Down: Receive only 100 points.
-1-up Mushroom: Receive a 1-up Mushroom.
*Note* If you have a Pipe, Yoshi Egg, etc...and you hit the question mark,
sometimes you will see Double Pipe, Double Yoshi Egg, etc...

*Note* If you select a box item, it will override the item currently in the
box.

Item: Yellow Coin
Description: Defeat a regular enemy to receive one. At the end of the game it
is worth 1000 points apiece. Get 100 coins to buy a 1-up mushroom from Toad.

Item: Blue Coin
Description: Defeat two enemies or more in succession. Use this for minigames
and to buy items.

Item: Pipe
Description: Receive from Question Mark, Item Box, or Toad. If after 30 seconds
is up, and the pipe disappears, you can replenish it with this item.

Item: Yoshi Egg
Description: Receive from Question Mark, Item Box, or Toad. Also found in
minigames at the Fair. Use for the Yoshi Egg Challenge or to hit more targets
faster. When the Yoshi Egg is used, it will also restart the timer on the
disappearance of the Pipe, and if the Pipe is already gone, the Pipe will
reappear for another 30 seconds.

Item: Red Yoshi Egg
Description: Receive from Red Item Boxes. If no item is present in your Active
Item Box and you hit a Red Item Box, you receive a Red Yoshi Egg. The Red Item
Box is found after defeating a boss, placing the Star Key in the key holder of
Bowser's Castle's entry, activating the red switch, collecting all 8 coins in
the allotted time, and then returning to the boss's lair to find the red box.
Red Yoshi Egg is to be used for Yoshi Egg Challenge or to facilitate a user. It
has the combined affect of an Invincibility Star, Power Mushroom, and regular
Yoshi Egg.

Item: Lightning Bolt
Description: Instantly kills most enemies, but enemies that require two hits
will usually only have the primary hit done to them, and not the secondary.
Received from the Question Mark, Item Box, or Toad.

Item: Invincibility Star
Description: Receive from Question Mark, Item Box, or Toad. Instant death to
all enemies except for bosses that touch Mario when the Invincibility Star is
activated. Lasts one minute.

Item: Power Mushroom
Description: Receive from Question Mark, Item Box, or Toad. Temporary Power
Mushroom when Mario hits the Obelisks while facing the boss Tutankoopa.
Increases Mario's size by double for two minutes.

Item: Small Mushroom
Description: Receive from Question Mark, Item Box, or Toad. Quarters Mario's
size for two minutes.

Item: 1-up Mushroom
Description: Receive by continuing to hit the Mole in sequence until he comes
close enough to throw the 1-up Mushroom onto the board. You then have 20
seconds to collect it before it disappears. You can also buy it through Toad
for 100 yellow coins. Gives an extra life or 10 extra bombs in the End-Game
Minigame.

2.5 How to Use This Walkthrough
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This walkthrough is basically a read along. It is written as if the person
turned on the game as was starting from scratch and planning to go from start
to finish. It is more difficult to understand this guide as a pinpoint guide if
looking for a specific star that you are missing or how to beat a specific
boss, but it can be easily done as well if you are willingly fast reader.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III. The Walkthrough
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.1 The Journey Begins
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the beginning, Mario, Princess Peach, and Toad are playing a nice game of
pinball, where a machine squashes them into a pinball and sends them to the
board game. Toad goes first, but when Princess Peach goes, some Goombas turn
the machine (the cannon) to Bowser's castle, and off she goes...will Mario let
her get away? It's up to you to save Princess Peach!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.2 From the Fair to Desertland
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Shoot yourself onto the first board of the game. Nothing much you can do
here...so hit the cannon with Mario to have it retract, and then aim Mario
into the hole to go into launch sequence. Aim for map that has ancient Egypt-
like music, with a pyramid, and lots of sand. Fire away, and get ready to
collect some stars.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.3 In Desertland
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Star #1: Kill the Pokeys
The very first star is the easiest to get. When you land on the very 1st level
of the Desert map, kill the cactus-like creatures to get your first star. Two
hits to each of them will kill them.

Star #2: Big Pokeys
After you get the 1st star, hit the 1 star door once to have it open. Then aim
and go through the door. Kill those giant pokeys and claim your star. It's
four hits to each of them.

*Get a 1-up Mushroom*
In that same room with the big pokeys, hit the mole to have him move up the
room. Eventually after the 4th hit, he will through the 1-up mushroom at you.
Just collect it.

Star #3: Slay the Condors
Now since you have two stars, you can go through the two star door. In this
room, there will be a pyramid surrounded by flying condors. Launch Mario into
the air via the pyramid ramp to wack the birds out of the sky. After all of
them have been downed, collect your star. It is easier to kill the condors
when the pyramid is down, and not up, because if you enter the door, you'll
have to start over when you come back out. But yet again, it's easier to aim
when the pyramid is up...I say take your chances. In my opinion this is the
hardest star to get in the entire game.

Pyramid Time:
On the same map with the pyramid, hit the statues at the top corners, and the
pyramid will rise. Be quick for the pyramid will sink if you don't hit them
fast enough. After the fourth hit, the pyramid will fully rise, and the door
will open. Enter.

Star #4: Don't Let 'em Escape
When in the pyramid, hit the middle switch. Cobrats (green snake-like
creatures) will appear from the corners of the map. They are trying to get
into the middle grating. Don't let them. If you do, the switch will reset, and
you'll have to start again. Kill them, before they get there, and when you
kill eight of them, a star will appear.

Star #5: Shy Guy Assassins
Now on the primary level of the pyramid (the one with the grating), hit the
left switch, and go down the hole. In this room, hit the left switch again to
cause the Shy Guys to appear. The will hide behind their pillars, and run from
pillar to pillar during certain times. That is the time to strike. Kill all
five of them to have a star appear. After that...It's time to fight the boss.

Boss Time: Tutankoopa
In that same room, hit the right switch, and fall down into the boss room.
This boss isn't too tough. Hit the obelisks to cause Mario to become
invincible and large for a couple seconds. Tutankoopa will try to stop this by
sending energy balls from the obelisks to shrink you and strip your
invincibility. You can only hurt Tutankoopa when you are invincible and large.
It doesn't matter if he is hovering or not, because when you are large and
invincible, you can take him down. Three hits are all it takes. Now collect
that nice star key, and collect any other goodies you want.

Now then, drop from that map, onto the primary pyramid map with the grating in
it.

Star #6: Shy Guy Parade
Hit the right switch, and drop down the map. If you see Toad down there, go
buy a small mushroom, if you don't have one already. After you've done that,
hit the right switch to cause Shy Guys to appear. This time you need to kill
all five of them before they retreat back to the pillar or you'll have to
start again. Collect that nice star.

*If you don't have a little mushroom still, go back down the holes to get Toad,
or head back to the fair and enter the tent, whichever is easier for you.

Star #7: Small Mario > Large Mario :)
Go back to the pyramid and to the first room with the grating. Now you
shouldn't have let the Cobrats down there, but now it's your turn to go down
there. Use the small mushroom (B button), shrink, and go down the grating. In
here, collect the lightning bolt, and prepare to kill lots of Cobrats. The
Cobrats will fall, and once there are about eight to ten of them, use the
lightning bolt to kill them all at once. Now keep killing the continuous flood
of fall Cobrats, and eventually they will stop falling, and after all of them
have been killed, collect your well-deserved star.

Head out of the pyramid and fall down to the primary map of Desertland and go
to the door that requires four stars. If you want, go buy a Yoshi egg from
Toad. It is well worth it.

Golden Yoshi Egg #1: Go to through the door requiring four stars. Activate the
Yoshi egg (B button), and this will start the minigame. Keep chopping down the
pillars with Yoshi's egg, and after they are all gone, you win. You'll get
several coins and several points. Not bad.

Star #8: Lakitu...
Once you've done the Yoshi egg challenge (if you wanted to, it's only
optional), go back to that same room. You must defeat all the Spineys the
Lakitu sends at you. Do it quickly for more Spineys will follow. After you've
defeated them all, enjoy the star. To kill a Spineys, you must hit it once to
put it on it's back, and then hit it again to kill it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.4 Back to the Fair
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing much left to do at Desertland, for now...so it's time to go into the
cannon (after you beat the boss) and head back to the fair (it's the one with
all the happy music, and a big dart board).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.5 At the Fair
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that we have a good amount of coins (yellow and blue) and eight stars, we
can collect the 4 of the 5 stars right now (we can get the fifth star, but
we'll save that 'til the end).

Star #9: Chomps Blowup
Go into Toad's blue tent, and pay 1 blue coin, to play the mini-game. You have
to wack all the Chomps back to wall, and they will blow-up. Simple? Not so. It
is very hard, and it is near impossible if you don't keep all the Yoshi eggs.
Knock them back quickly, because this is a time gamed. Collect your star
afterwards.

Star #10: Bullet Time
At Toad's blue tent, pay 2 blue coins to play another mini-game. This time you
need to hit 30 bullets with Mario and the Yoshi eggs in 30 seconds. Not too
hard. Collect the star, when this is accomplished.

Star #11: Bob-Omb Go Bye-Bye
At Toad's blue tent yet again, pay 3 blue coins to play another mini-game. The
objective is to hit the blue switch in the middle to cause Bob-ombs to go be
launched from the cannons onto the board. There can only be four on at a time,
so make them blow up, and get another 4 to enter the board. After defeating 10
in less than 30 seconds, you get the star.

Boss Time: Big Boo
Launch into the mansion, and go through the 10-star requirement door. You will
then ride a roller coaster to Big Boo's lair. Just hit him when he's not
looking (not hard since he usually turns) and three hits will do him in.
Collect the star key and the goodies. Don't forget the lightning bolt item.

Star #12: Roasted Boos
Drop down from the lair, and enter the previous room. Just as the boos appear,
use the lightning bolt item to kill them all off. An easy star.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.6 To the Prairie (Grasslands)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are done in the fairgrounds for now, so launch yourself to the map that has
Country music and that has prairies and hills of green. Ya hoo!!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.7 In the Grasslands
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This map is the easiest of them all.

Star #13: Freebie
That's all this star could be...it's so easy. Kill the Goombas on the primary
map, and claim that star.

Head through the Two-Star door.

Star #14: Koopa Time
Not to hard. Kill all the koopas in the room to get a star. I like using the
invincibility star to make it quick and painless (for you and the Koobas :).

*1-up Time*
In the same map, hit the mole 4 times as he progress throughout the room so
that he will through the 1-up mushroom.

Now if you don't have a small mushroom, go to Desertland and buy one from
Toad.

Star #15: Small Mario vs. Killer Bees
Go back to the primary map, and use the small mushroom to shrink Mario. Launch
Mario into the beehive. Kill all the Stingers and collect that wonderful star.

Star #16: More Bees
Head through the door with only one star required. Hit the beehive in this
room, to send the bees out. Kill them. Don't worry if they return, because the
amount that was left will still be the amount when you agitate the hive again.
Get the star. Now how about a boss...

Boss Time: Petey Piranha
This boss is pretty easy, like all the bosses in this game (if you are good at
pinball, I guess). Just whack the man-eating plant in the bulb center thrice
and it should die. Usually on the last time, it gets hard, because Mr. Piranha
wants to eat you and then spit you back out, and if there isn't a pipe left,
you will fly down to the previous room. Using an invincibility star seems to
halt this action, but I'm not a 100% sure. Collect the Star Key, and the
treasures.

After defeating that boss, head out to the previous map, and go buy a Yoshi
egg from Toad. You guessed it: Golden Yoshi Egg time!!! Head through the One-
star requirement door.

Golden Yoshi Egg Challenge #2: Just launch the egg to start the sequence, and
keep aiming at the center pillar and keep knocking it down. The end result is
a big Golden Yoshi egg with lots of bonus points and yellow coins.

After doing that, drop off the room, and then head back to get the final star
(for now).

Star #17: More Koopas
This Koopa fight is a little harder. I suggest a lightning bolt or an
invincibility star to expedite the process. Just kill them all, and make sure
the mushroom bumpers don't fling you don't to the previous room, or you'll
have to start all over again. Savor that star.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.8 To Snowyland
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nothing else left to do right now in the Grasslands. Just hop into that cannon,
and off we go to the land of ice and snow.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.9 Snowyland
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The hardest and my least favorite board of the entire game...

Make life a little easier, and get rid of Toad by going into his tent and
buying a small mushroom.

Star #18: Skating Guys Fall
Not to hard to get. Just kill a Skating Guy, and then another will follow.
After killing two of them, you will be awarded your star. The only hard part of
this is that you need to avoid hitting the upper door for you'll have to start
over if you go through it.

Star #19: Small Mushroom Time
Now with that convenient mushroom, shrink yourself and go into that tiny hole
at the top left of the board. To get the star in the tiny igloo is very hard.
You need to hit the mole six times as he progresses around the igloo. If you
aren't quick enough, he'll retreat to the previous location. Very hard to get
this star, but hey, it's another star.

Star #20: Penguins
Just go up through the 1-star door and kill all the penguins on this map to get
a star. Knock them down by hitting them once, and then kill them by hitting
them, while they are on their backs. Aw, look, another star.

Now on this same board, do you see the big ice block...well, now do you see the
crack in the ice...hmm...SAT skills, yah sure, SAT skillz...Push that ice block
onto the crack to cause it to sink, and make a hole in the ice. Launch Mario
down into it.

Star #21: Three's the Charm
As in the title, kill the three Cheep-Cheeps that you encounter down in the
water world. It's not too different from the regular air-boards, so just adapt
to it. Get that easy star.

Oh yah, you know what time it is...BOSS TIME!!!

Hit all three treasure chests to cause the sunken ship to tilt unto its side
and launch Mario into the abysmal void in the bellows of the ship.

Boss Time: Cheep-Cheep Pufferfish
My favorite boss to cream. You know why? You use bombs to kill him! Hit the
corners of the board to release bombs, and whack 'em at the fish. If you make
contact, the fish will blow-up (as in increase its volume, not explode) and
that is the time you strike it. Do this two more times, and say good-bye to Mr.
Pufferfish. Collect the goods and your final Star Key.

Now head back down to the primary board map. Then go up the 1-star door, and
then head up the right 3-star door.

Star #22: A Snowman Fight
There are four Mr. Blizzards. You must stun them all to receive the star. The
only problem is, after about 5 seconds, they return back to normal, so be
quick. This can be a little difficult. I suggest a Yoshi egg or an
invincibility star if you are having trouble. Snag that star.

Get a Yoshi egg after you've collected Star #22, and head up to the 5-star
board to do...

Golden Yoshi Egg Challenge #3: Just launch the egg to start the sequence, and
keep aiming at the center pillar and keep knocking it down. The end result is
a big Golden Yoshi egg with lots of bonus points and yellow coins.

Star #23: Mix and Match
After doing the Yoshi Egg challenge, four Skating Guys will appear. Your
objective is to get them all to be the same color. It is pretty hard to do, so
just keep going, and eventually you'll achieve STAR success.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.10 To Bowser's Castle
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are done on this board for now, so take the cannon to Bowser's Lair. The
one with the castle.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.11 Castle's Gate
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now then, with the defeat of the four bosses, you can finally open the gate to
Bowser's castle. All you need to do is hit each of the pillars to insert the
key. When you insert the key, you notice that a red box for that bosses lair
appears. We are going to go back to them to collect four additional stars in
red coin time trial challenges.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.12 Bowser's Castle (but it's time to go)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally the keys are turned, the gate has opened, and now you enter onto the
evil castle. But wait, take the cannon, we've got 4 more stars to collect on
the maps (1 for each map).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.13 Back to The Fair
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take the cannon and launch yourself back to the fairgrounds.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.14 The Fair...again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Would you go to the same fair again in the same year? I wouldn't...

Star #24: Go in the Boo Mansion, and go through the 10-star door and take the
roller coaster ride. Activate the red switch and you have 100 seconds to
collect 8 coins. There are two in the boss's lair, four in the board below, and
two on the primary level.

After you are through with that, take the cannon to Desertland.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.15 Desertland...again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You like the heat?...

Star #25: Go through the middle 2-star requirement door. On the upper board,
hit the statues in the upper corners of the board 4 times to raise the pyramid
to its full height so the door opens. Go inside. Then hit the left switch
inside and fall down. On the lower floor, hit the right switch and fall down
again. Now activate the red switch in the boss's lair. It's time for Red Coin
Challenge #2.

This one can be a toughie, and you only have 100 seconds. There are two coins
in the boss's lair. Two coins on the primary floor of the pyramid. Two coins
are then found if you hit the left switch on the main floor and then fall down.
After that, go back to the primary floor of the pyramid, and take the right
switch to collect the final two stars. If you hit the middle switch on the
primary floor of the pyramid just let the crobat get into the drain so the
switches reset to avoid further time loss. This is hard, and confusing Red Coin
Challenge.

After you are down with that, take the cannon to The Grasslands.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.16 The Grasslands...again, no?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I guess it's time for Red Coin Challenge #3.

Star #26: In The Grasslands, go through the 1-star door and head into the
boss's lair, and activate the red switch.

Now this one's tough as well, even though it looks easy. The obstacles make it
tough. You have yet again 100 seconds. There are two in the boss's lair. Drop
down for another two coins. Drop down again, for another two coins. Then go
through the 2-star door and get the final two coins. And say hello to another
star.

*Note* If you haven't already tested it, that red-block that replaces the red
switch has no benefit but an additional 1000 points, if you already have an
item in the box. But if you don't...you get a Red Yoshi Egg.

Now take the cannon to Snowyland to complete the last coin challenge.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.17 Snowyland...blizzard again, eh?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So you like ice or snow...or maybe that star? Let's get this sucker.

Star #27: *I suggest you have a lightning bolt with you.* In Snowyland, go
through the 1-star door and go into the ice hole you created on your last visit
here. Hit the 3 treasure chests to turn over the ship sideways. Then go into
the ship under the sea to activate the red switch.

Yet again, 100 seconds. Getting the hang of this yet? The challenge on this map
is quite retardedly hard as well. Now then, get the two in the boss's lair (you
can use the bombs as Yoshi eggs if you wish). Drop a level, to get another two
red coins. Then drop another level to get another two red coins. Then go
through the 1-star door to get 1 red coin. And then go the 3-star requirement
door on the right to get the final red coin. The final red coin is the hardest
since the snowmen throw snowballs if you try to get the coin, so I suggest
using that lightning bolt to stun them and then you can retrieve it. Finally,
the last star you can get on the four primary maps.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.18 Onward to Bowser's Castle...for real this time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Take the cannon back to Bowser's Castle.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.19 Bowser's Castle...and this time...we ain't gonna go nowhere.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So now we have arrived...to save Princess Peach and put Bowser out of his
misery.

Star #28: An Army of Three
Now when you are back at the entry point of Bowser's Castle, there are 3 Fly
Guys waiting for you. Wait for them to land, and kill them. You will get a
star. Just hope you don't go through the gate, or you'll have to try again.

Star #29: An Army of Five
Not only are there five of them this time, you've got three doors, a cannon, a
level below, and Toad (yes, annoying Toad), to mess you up. Just to do yourself
a favor, buy a lightning bolt from Toad to clean up this mess easily, and claim
that star.

Star #30: Koopa Tropper Squad
For this star, just push the two Koopa Troopers back into a wall to have them
blow up. Then collect your star. This can be difficult if they come close to
the bumpers though, so try to avoid that.

*1-up Time*
On the same board as Star #30, hit the mole around the board and eventually he
will through the 1-up mushroom out of its shelter for you collect. Enjoy.

Now go up to the 19-star Requirement Door.

Star #31: Petey Piranha...reincarnated.
Now then defeat the six goombas and then you will face Petey Piranha again. He
or she...or it will be the exact same difficulty...and just beat the way you
did before. Or refer to this:

Boss Time: Petey Piranha
This boss is pretty easy, like all the bosses in this game (if you are good at
pinball, I guess). Just whack the man-eating plant in the bulb center thrice
and it should die. Usually on the last time, it gets hard, because Mr. Piranha
wants to eat you and then spit you back out, and if there isn't a pipe left,
you will fly down to the previous room. Using an invincibility star seems to
halt this action, but I'm not a 100% sure. Collect the Star Key, and the
treasures.

Now enjoy 1,000,000 (1.000.000 in other nations) points and a star to go along
with that order. Oh ya, and you get a special item in that box as well...I got
double super mushrooms.

Now head back down a board and go into the 25-star requirement room.

Star #32: Say hello to Big Boo...again.
Defeat the four regular boos to spawn Big Boo. As before he is the exact same -
well actually he feels as if he has stronger psychic powers now - but
anyway...refer to this:

Boss Time: Big Boo
Launch into the mansion, and go through the 10-star requirement door. You will
then ride a roller coaster to Big Boo's lair. Just hit him when he's not
looking (not hard since he usually turns) and three hits will do him in.
Collect the star key and the goodies.

Lavish another One Million Points! and another star. Oh yah...and another bonus
item...make Toad go bankrupt! Well actually...if you don't have a lightning
bolt, I suggest you buy one.

Now head back down to the Castle's main board (with the cannon, Toad, three
doors, etc...), and go through the 21-star requirement door.

Star #33: Koopa Tropper Squard v2
Well now you have to face three Koopa Troopers with a hole in the ground and a
door that can prove an obstacle. Just use a lightning bolt and end their
pitiful lives and claim that star.

Now head through the door that requires 23 stars.

Star #34: Tutankoopa...Back from the DEAD!
First kill those big Pokeys and have Tutankoopa arise. He's the exact same as
before, so just refer to this:

Boss Time: Tutankoopa
This boss isn't too tough. Hit the obelisks to cause Mario to become
invincible and large for a couple seconds. Tutankoopa will try to stop this by
sending energy balls from the obelisks to shrink you and strip your
invincibility. You can only hurt Tutankoopa when you are invincible and large.
It doesn't matter if he is hovering or not, because when you are large and
invincible, you can take him down. Three hits are all it takes.

Maintenant...viola, c'est un million points, trs bon, non ? ...et un endriot
aussi. C'est la vie...ou la vie est bonne, oui ?

Ok, enough with French, back to English...can't you see I'm getting bored...I
need some variation.

Now head back down and go through the hole in the board.

Star #35: Yah!!! Cheep-Cheep Pufferfish wants some more...or shall I
say...we're having fish again tonight!

The fishy boss is still the same. Except that he/she/it? will start with the
defenders this time. Refer to this if you can't remember how to beat it:

Boss Time: Cheep-Cheep Pufferfish
My favorite boss to cream. You know why? You use bombs to kill him! Hit the
corners of the board to release bombs, and whack 'em at the fish. If you make
contact, the fish will blow-up (as in increase its volume, not explode) and
that is the time you strike it. Do this two more times, and say good-bye to Mr.
Pufferfish.

And oh yah!!! One million points, and the final star! But wait, let's not fight
Bowser yet, I want you to have some more goodies (and this goody actually is
one heck of a goody).

Go buy a Yoshi Egg from toad...and it's time for the Yoshi Egg Extravaganza!

Now there are two reasons why you should get 35 stars...Yoshi Egg Challenge
#4...or the ultimate one...and a special ending as well after you kill Bowser.

Golden Yoshi Egg Challenge #4: Just launch the egg to start the sequence, and
keep aiming at the center pillar and keep knocking it down.

And wow baby!!! I got 6.33 million points and maxed my yellow coins out at 999.
Crazy!!!

Well now...it's time to end this story for the happy ending...

Go back to the primary level (with the cannon, Toad, etc...) and go through the
middle big 15-star requirement door for the Bowser showdown.

FINAL BOSS: BOWSER

Bowser v1: In Bowser first stage, you will notice that hey, there's Bowser
along with two Thomps, and a blue switch. You must spin around the room to make
one of the Thomps ascend. When it reaches the top, it will lock, and the Blue
Switch will activate. Hit it to flip Bowser over and then he is on his back,
take aim and hit him. After three hits, Bowser will enter his second state.

Bowser v2: Bowser is now a very big pinball. You must fling Bowser into the
walls near where the chains are to cause the wall to start to crumble. After
three hits on one side of the wall, send Bowser through the hole in the wall,
and Bowser will be flung out into the horizon, and congrats, you win. *Note*
it's three hits on one wall. If you hit him once on both walls, you still need
to hit twice more on one or the other wall. And with his demise...I got
5,000,000 extra points, what did you get?

Now wait for the credits to role, and it's time to play my favorite part of
this game.

***End Game Mini-Game***
Basically there is this mini-game at the end where you can rack up a ton of
points. The game consists of bombs, a cannon, and a dartboard. The bombs roll
out of the tent, you shoot them into the cannon, and then after 3 seconds of no
bombs going into the cannon, the cannon will come up and you'll have to aim and
fire into the dartboard. Miss, and you'll miss a lot of points. The bombs
explode after about 10 seconds. I have gone over 30 bombs straight into the
cannon before missing. It's all about timing. If you have all 35 stars, each
hit will be worth 500,000 points. The amount of bombs you receive is based on
the amount of lives you have. Have 7 lives remaining at the end of the game and
you'll get 70 bombs.

And finally, the game is over. The End.

There are time trials after you beat the game once, and you must try to beat
each level under 1 hour. I didn't feel like doing it so I didn't, but how about
you?

VII. Special Recognition
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fuse Games Limited - Though I have never heard of you before this game, you
have surely made an awesome graphical and musical game in the pinball genre.
Kudos.

Nintendo - For its innovations and willingness to take innovative risks
(Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS as examples).

Gamefaqs - For making a community where fellow gamers can learn to interact and
hopefully better themselves for the future.

Word 2000 - For letting me type this guide and for your spellcheck (not your
grammarcheck though).

High Speed Internet - someday Internet will be wireless and free (hopefully)
and will travel billions of times faster (come on US government, be #1). But as
of right now, I love that something took the place of 56K and could allow for
Internet multiplayer gaming and passable browsing speed, but I wouldn't mind
continual improvements.

Fellow Readers - for looking at this guide.

Responders - for adding feedback to this guide.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
X. Epilogue
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And now it's time to say my final words on this game. Mario Pinball Land was a
very nice game to play as I was able to deviate my mind off FPS games such as
Halo 2 and RPGs that range from Pokemon to Final Fantasy games.

The graphics and music are wonderful, and there is much difficulty in the game
from the obstacles and grueling need to continue on and save Princess Peach in
a pinball game that may take up to 5 hours to complete and 10 hours or more if
you wish to accomplish everything. And besides this, there are the Time Trials
to add more challenge to those pinball oriented people. Good game, and thanks
to all who used this guide as an aid.
