Absolutely nothing. The very start. V 0.75----07/22/06----Well I have most of the main sections complete and now I'm going to try and submit the guide. I can't believe it took me so long to make this thing...(ACCEPTED!) V 0.9----07/26/06----This version was made possible by the contributions of Sanorith. Not a large update, but I wanted to add a few things to the guide while I had them. I found out a bunch of little things I was missing thanks to a contributor, I finished the "gifts" section, and I added a FoMT art to the top. I added in a few bits of data that were missing. I hope to add more soon! V 0.91----07/26/06----Tiny change. 1 new contributor. That's about it! As soon as I get the time I'm going to add a few new sections. V 1.0----08/12/06----I fixed one BAD problem. I had 2 legal information sections @.@ Well that's fixed now. I also fixed a few typos, and I finally took the time and wrote a whole new section! The "My Descriptions of the Wild Plants" is the first section of a few new ones I hope to be adding! Enjoy the guide! V 1.3----10/03/06----It's been a while now! 2 months nearly. Well I finally sat down to type up a new version. This one isn't that new, but it's got a few tiny changes and I have 2 questions from the public in the FAQ section! Enjoy those thiny things. Oh, I almost forgot. I added to my guides section thingy the one guide I contributed to once. V 1.5----10/26/06----Not that long since my last update. Well here I've added a new section! It's probably going to be the last new section I'm going to add, unless I get really bored some time. I don't think this guide is going to get much bigger. Oh well, a few tiny changes, a few things off my "Possible Future Updates" list, and a new section. ENJOY! V 1.7----02/25/07----Wow, it's been a while. I've added a whole bunch of little things and new questions, all thanks to a whole bunch of contributors. I don't think there's much more to add, so don't expect too many more updates. V 1.8----04/16/07----I've finally got around to it and made a girl's version guide of mFoMT. There are a few small changes, but nothing totally new. Thanks to everyone who made this guide possible! (ACCEPTED!) V 1.81----04/17/07----Now that this new guide is up, I polished up a few things and added a new section. Nothing big. (Current) V 1.82----04/27/07----Thanks to two new contributors, there are some new notes around, and a new question in the FAQ section. This guides barely been up and there are already two new updates! Wow. --------------------------------- Introduction I0002 --------------------------------- Hello everyone out there reading this right now. This is my 4th guide. It's for more Friends of Mineral Town, the girl's version of Harvest Moon for GBA. Thanks to everyone who made this guide possible. If you have any questions or comments, please send them in! Enjoy the guide! ^_^ --------------------------------- Why make this guide W0003 --------------------------------- I made this guide because I made a boys and girls version guide for the GameCube game, so I decided to do the same thing for the GBA game too! I always liked the idea of wild plants in the game because it made it more realistic. On the game, most of my money comes from selling wild plants! I think they deserve a guide all to themselves. ENJOY! --------------------------------- E-mail Information E0004 --------------------------------- My E-mail address is: a z a j i c e k @comcast.net (Without the enters. This is for those that REALLY want to contact me) If you send me an E-mail, please make the title of the E-mail: "Wild Plant Guide mFoMT" If you don't, I will not answer your E-mail because it will be considered junk mail. Please title it this way. It'll be easier on me that way. Please send in suggestions/comments about my guide (Tips, something I don't have, misspelled words, if the guide is useful, etc.) Please, if you have something to tell me about my guide, send it in. Also, when you send a suggestion or comment in, please include your username, or whatever you want your name to be put as so I can put it in the credits section. ***PLEASE INCLUDE NAME OR USERNAME FOR CREDITS SECTION*** ---------------------------------- What you can contribute H0005 ---------------------------------- Please, contribute any information I need or don't have. Please send in questions for the FAQ section, and if you find that anything in this guide is misspelled, please tell me. I don't have much time anymore to play the game so I can collect data, so please help me out with whatever you can. All typos should be reported to me. Also, comments are much appreciated. ---------------------------------- Possible Future Updates F0006 ---------------------------------- Well, this is the section where I list out some possible future updates for the guide. I'll try to put them in, but I may never be able to put them all in. I could use help with them, and if you have any suggestions for other additions, please send them in. Add: Plant Collecting Routes Section Complete: This guide (I'm not sure what this means yet) ___________________________________________________________ What you can do with Wild Plants W0007 ___________________________________________________________ Now, to some people, these wild plants are nearly useless. To me, they can be used for so much in so many ways. All the flowers in the game can be used as gifts (and Popouri even takes weeds!). Next, there are a bunch of recipes for cooking that involve collecting these wild plants! Also, the plants are worth quite a lot! I'd say on average they're each about 100G (some are less & some are more), which is better than normal ores and fish! I go around every day collecting all the plants, and I've made around 200K (I'm in my 2nd year). Also, if you're low on Stamina and need something to eat, there's usually some wild food laying around for you to eat! :D ----------------------- Wild Plants useful for: ----------------------- .Some Cooking Recipes .Gifts for People .Making money .Food source ___________________________________________________________ The Most Useful Wild Plants (in my opinion) W0008 ___________________________________________________________ I have a feeling that I might get a different opinion soon though... ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The top 3 most useful plants are: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Truffle Mushroom Weed Truffle is probably the most useful wild plant (technically a mushroom). It's worth 500G, which means every two you ship you get 1K (1000)! And there's also a few recipes that you need it for. Anyway, I think it's the best of all the Wild Plants. Mushroom is probably the next best, becuase you need to give it as a gift to Carter to open his secret mushroom yard which is full of Truffles and more mushrooms. Also, some more recipes need this as an ingredient. You may not believe it, but I think weeds are actually pretty useful. There's actually a recipe that requires it, Popouri accepts them as gifts, and they're good for getting experience on your sickle! They aren't quite as useless as you might have thought! ___________________________________________________________ Plant Reappearance Times R0009 ___________________________________________________________ This is one of the easiest parts. Other Harvest Moon games had all kinds of different grow-back days, but this game, everything grows back every day. That is, except for one exception! Black grass! Here is the super-tiny regrowth list: ----------------------------------------------------------- All Plants (Except for Black Grass): Every day ----------------------------------------------------------- Black Grass: You dig it up in the mines during any season. ----------------------------------------------------------- See! I said it would be short! That's almost as short as sections can get, isn't it? ____________________________________________________________ Wild Plant Seasons And Prices S0010 ____________________________________________________________ +All Edible plants can be eaten, shipped, or used as gifts. +All flowers cannot be shipped or eaten, but they can be used as gifts. +Weeds grow in your field, but they have only 2 uses: As Gifts for Popouri & for one or two recipes you can make. +Poisonous Mushrooms sell for more than normal ones? FFX2player thinks that this is a nod to the Harvest Moon SNES game where the poisonous Mushrooms were worth more as well. ------------------------------------------------------------ SEASONS: Prices: ------------------------------------------------------------ Spring ______________________ ( ) |Toy Flower | Can't Sell |Moondrop Grass | Can't Sell |Bamboo shoots | 50 G |Blue Grass | 100 G |Yellow Grass | 120 G |Orange Grass | 100 G |Weed | Can't Sell (______________________) Summer ______________________ ( ) |Purple Grass | 120 G |Blue Grass | 100 G |Red Grass | 110 G |Green Grass | 100 G |Wild Grapes | 50 G |Pink Cat Grass | Can't Sell |Weed | Can't Sell (______________________) Fall ______________________ ( ) |Blue Magic Grass | Can't Sell |Mushroom | 70 G |Poisonous Mushroom | 100 G |Truffle | 500 G |Green Grass | 100 G |Red Grass | 110 G |Indigo Grass | 100 G |Weed | Can't Sell |Apple | 50 G |Red Magic Grass | 200 G (______________________) Winter ______________________ ( ) |White Grass | 150 G (______________________) All ______________________ ( ) |Black Grass | 10 G (______________________) ______________________________________________________________ Wild Plant Locations L0011 ______________________________________________________________ Please remember that the plants grow back every day. ***If anyone sees any locations for the growth of the plants that I missed (or that my imagination created and they don't actually exist), please send me an E-mail about it.*** Plant Locations -------------------------------------------------------------- Red Grass: (5) .Carter's Graveyard .Near the lake .2 near the hotspring .To the right of Gotz's house -------------------------------------------------------------- Green Grass: (3) .Near the hotspring .By a stump near the lake .At the lower left corner of the lake -------------------------------------------------------------- White Grass: (2, but there might be 1 more) .In the weird little place behind Gotz's house .in Carter's secret mushroom plantation -------------------------------------------------------------- Blue Grass: (3) .2 by Gotz's house .Near hot spring -------------------------------------------------------------- Mushroom: (3) .Near Gotz's house .Near the entrance to the Mountain .In Carter's Mushroom Plantation -------------------------------------------------------------- Poisonous Mushroom: (2, but there may be more) .To the right of Gotz's house .In Carter's mushroom plantation -------------------------------------------------------------- Truffle: (3) .2 in Carter's Mushroom Plantation .On the path to the Harvest Goddess place. For those of you who wannted to know, here is my description of how every single plant in Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral town looks like. Plants: ---------------------------------------- o o Grass (all colors): It looks like a clover \_/ <<< Kinda looks like that, if the o's were 3-leafed-clovers. They're all just different colors. ---------------------------------------- Bamboo Shoots: A small light-brown stump with little bits of yellow poking out on it. ---------------------------------------- Weed: Dark green clump of grass....Duh ---------------------------------------- Wild Grapes: Self-explanatory. A small bunch of purple grapes, oddly not attached to a vine or anything. ---------------------------------------- Mushroom: A traditional looking mushroom. Light-brown cap with a fat white stem. ---------------------------------------- Poisonous Mushroom: Like the Mushroom, except with a red cap. It has little white dots on it (I think...) ---------------------------------------- Truffle: It's small. Has a dark-brown cap, and a small white stem. Looks kinda shriveled up. ---------------------------------------- Apple: This one is a no-brainer.It's a red apple. (If you don't know what an apple is....please finish your pre-school training!) ---------------------------------------- Flowers: ---------------------------------------- Toy flower: A some-what small yellow flower. Light green stem. ---------------------------------------- Moondrop Grass: Looks kinda like a dandelion. 2 puffy white flowers. ---------------------------------------- Pink Cat Grass: Looks just like small pink tulips, perfectly symmetrical. ---------------------------------------- Blue Magic Grass: One Large bell-shaped flower with a tiny green stem. ---------------------------------------- Red Magic Grass: It looks just like the blue one....except it's red. Duh. ---------------------------------------- ___________________________________________________________ Wild Plants as Gifts G0013 ___________________________________________________________ This section is about using wild plants (Well, mainly flowers actually) as gifts for towns people. I'm not sure if I've got everyone, but if you see someone missing, please tell me! Ok here they are. Anyone who isn't on the list means that they don't like any of the wild forage. *Note* Everyone will accept your gift wether they like it or not. I'm listing the people that LIKE it. Also, I'm not sure if Elli likes "Blue Grass" or "Blue MAGIC Grass" Does anyone out there know which one? ========================================================== Karen Bamboo Shoot, Truffle Elli Toy Flower, Blue Grass, White Grass Popuri Weed Mary Red, Blue, White, and Black Grass Harvest Goddess Flowers (I'm not sure if all of them) Doctor All Grasses (I think...) Sasha Pink Cat Grass Manna Mushrooms (not sure which) Lillia Pink Cat Grass Carter Mushroom Basil All Flowers ================== HARVEST SPIRTES ================== .According to a contributor, each Harvest Sprite likes the grass that is the same color as them. It sounds right to me. Can anyone confirm this? Chef (red) Red Grass Nappy (orange) Orange Grass Hoggy (yellow) Yellow Grass Timid (green) Green Grass Staid (blue) Blue Grass Bold (purple) Purple Grass Aqua (aquamarine) Indigo Grass (I'm pretty sure) ____________________________________________________________ Growing Wild Plants G0014 ____________________________________________________________ In this game, unlike HM: AnWL, you can buy seeds for some of the wild plants in the game (mostly for the flowers) and grow them on your farm. This isn't really that useful since you can't ship flowers, but it does look nice, and if whoever you're trying to marry likes that specific thing you're growing, you're in luck! Anyway, this section is about growing those plants. ------------- How to plant: ------------- There are 2 main ways to arrange your plants. Either in rows, or you could do it as a square, but the middle plant won't get watered! Here is a badly made diagram: _________________________________ |0= Soil | |x= Plant ( soil you should till)| |________________________________| __________ 3X3 square __________ 00000 0xxx0 0xxx0 0xxx0 00000 OR: __________ In Rows __________ 00000 0xxx0 00000 0xxx0 00000 .With a Silver or higher upgraded watering can, you CAN water the plant in the middle, but you still can't harvest it unless you get something else out of the way, or you ask harvest sprites to harvest! It's up to you how you plant it. Anyway, here is a list of all the plants you can grow, and some information about them. I had one guy complaining to me becuase he got all blues. He was just very unlucky.* _______________________________________________________ If you know ay more information about this, please feel free to send me an e-mail about it! ____________________________________________________________ FAQs F0015 ____________________________________________________________ Well this is the FAQ section where people ask the questions and post facts, and I'll try to answer them and write comments to them. Please, if you have any questions that have to do with the wild plant topic, send them in and I'll try to answer them (and post them!). I make up a few of my own in case anyone was thinking of those. Q= Question A= Answer F= Fact C= Comment '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' FAQs I created for those with these questions! '''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ___________________________________________________________ Q: Can you hybrid wild plants in this game? A: Nope, you can't hybrid at all! Hybridizing is unique to Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life & Another Wonderful life. ___________________________________________________________ Q: Does connecting to the GC version of the game give any wild plant extras? A: Not that I know of. I don't think it affects the wild plants on either of the games. ___________________________________________________________ Q: Will my name be put in the credits if you put my question into this guide? A: The only reason your name WOULDN'T be in the credits would be if you sent in a dumb question like this one! Yes, it will be put into the credits if it's an eligible question. ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ Questions from public (feel free to send one in) ___________________________________________________________ (Question sent from Danny Smartt) (Copied directly from E-mail) Q: I'm just wandering, how does putting flowers into the vase affect your stamina and fatigue? which flowers do, which flowers don't? do they really have any affect at all or does the game just say that? If you could put that into a section in your guide that would be helpful. A: To tell the truth, I'm not really sure. I think it affects you when you wake up, so it might help you and save you from oversleeping, but I'm not sure becuase there's no stamina bar of any sort. And I really have no idea which flowers would be better and which would be worse. Although, I do believe it does help. I'm just not sure. I can't make a section about it if I'm not sure. This is as close as I can get to it. ___________________________________________________________ (Question sent from SMurphy) (Copied directly from E-mail) Q: ok there is one plant you didnt say how to find in your guide its the red magic grass plant i cant find it at all and im begining to think it doesnt exist please tell me where it is! A: Well I've already answered this in my guide, but you can only grown the plant by buying the seeds. The thing is, you'll usually get only 1 red one and the rest will be blue. Sometimes they're all blue, and that just means you were unlucky. ___________________________________________________________ (Question sent from 007baby) (Copied directly from E-mail) Q: Hey. when ever i plant blue magic grass, the next day the seeds disappear. even when i don't water them. what am i doing wrong? A: You aren't planting them in the right season, which is Fall. Try planting them in Fall. ___________________________________________________________ (Question sent from Ogre531) (Copied directly from E-mail) Q: I was reading your guide and it said the red magic grass was worth 200g but you usually get 1 red and the rest are blue. Well, how much does the blue grass sell for? or is the blue grass just the type of grass you find wild in Summer? A: The blue magic grass is just the type of grass you find wild in Fall. It cannot be sold. ___________________________________________________________ (Question sent from Janelle Trieu) (Copied directly from E-mail) Q:Hello Mr.Aqlex239, About your guide posted at http://www.neoseeker.com/resourcelink.html?r lid=147825&rid=136970 There is a that I am struggling with: Truffle: (3) .2 in Carter's Mushroom Plantation .on the path to the Harvest Goddess place You see, I do not know where the last truffle is. I do not understand where the Harvest Goddess place path is, if you could briefly explain to me I would be grateful, Thank You for your time, A Reader A: You can get there by breaking the huge rock next to the path up the mountain, but you would need a cursed or blessed tool to break it. ___________________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________________ Mushrooms M0016 ___________________________________________________________ This game has 3 mushrooms. 2 of them are useful, but the 3rd one isn't. Lemme list them: Truffle Worth 500G Mushroom Worth 70G Poisonous Mushroom Worth 100G So why would a Poisonous Mushroom be worth more than a regular one? WHO KNOWS! They just made it like that. Well Truffles are worth the most of all the wild plants in mFoMT. They're also good for cooking! Mushrooms are good for cooking, and a good gift for Carter (the church guy). Poisonous Mushrooms are good for poisoning yourself, and if you bring it to the big pot festival and put it in, everyone supposedly feels sick and you faint (sounds pretty cool eh?) I think there's also one recipe which you CAN add the mushroom into, but it's better without it. ___________________________________________________________ Cooking with Wild Plants C0017 ___________________________________________________________ Here I have gathered together all of the recipes I know (but I borrowed a few from SuperMario1024's Cooking/Recipes guide) that involve using Wild Plants. For all the Rare Crops and things that I don't explain how to make, go to SuperMario1024's cooking guide and see how to make the things for yourself. When there is more than 1 ingredient in a section, it means that you can chose the ingredient.
