Introduction
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This guide is only for use for things that have to do with the Harvest
Sprites. If you want a FAQ that tells you what to do thruout the game
I suggest some of the other great guides you can find on gamefaqs as
this one is only about the Sprites. In this FAQ I will explain how to
use the Sprites to your advantage by makeing them work your farm for
you. Also how to raise the affection level and anything else that has to
do with the little gnome like Sprites.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Getting To Know Your Harvest Sprites
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Harvest Sprites are seven little gnome like people that if you
treat them well and give them presents they will do work for you.
Make sure you don't over work them thou, if you do they will get upset
and then the heart meter falls as fast as those pesky French :). To
make sure you don't over work them, give them a day break between works.
Anyway the Harvest Sprites are located in the small house behind the
Church. If you go to the Church you can see a dirt path leading up.
Follow it to a little hut. Inside the hut are the Harvest Sprites.
Also if you befriend them all then you will get invited to their
tea party. But more of that will be covered later in the FAQ. Anywho
more specific info on the seven Harvest Sprites are as follows.

Ways To Raise Heart Level
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

There are many ways you can get the heart meter high enough to get
them the Sprites to work for you. You have to get atleast three hearts
to have them play or work with you. The most you can have is ten hearts,
but there isn't any reason to get it this high unless you just want to.
To check the heart meter go to earings, then press right or left untill
you see the Sprites. You will see the head shot of each of them, a line
of hearts. And the last thing you will see are three little bars, one
with a watering can, one with a turnip, and one with a brush. Each of
those are the "skill" meter. The fuller they are the better they will
be at that thing. Anyway now on to the best ways to raise the heart
levels so you can start to work those little Gnomes. One thing you
should never do is show the Sprites your cock...er chicken I mean.
If you do this you will get the comical response. "Tck does it bite?"

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

-----------------
The Flour Trick
-----------------
Well it isn't really a trick but it is a very very effective method of
getting the Sprites heart meter up. You can get flour at the local
market for only 50g. The market is open at 8:00AM to 6:00PM every day
other then tuesday and sunday. Also when there are festivals it will
be closed. But other then that you can buy to your heart's desire. One
thing that will help the effectiveness of the flour is to get it
wrapped first. Wrapping cost 100g and you can get it at the market also.
So for only 150g you can get three hearts in the heart meter up pretty
fast. It takes about ten to twelve of these little packages to get the
Sprites on good enough terms to work for you. Also if you give them
gifts on their birthdays then you will get about two hearts in one gift!
As you can see using the birthdays to your advantage is a very good thing
to do for fast loving.

---------
Grasses
---------
If you noticed that all the sprites have a color. Also if your good
like Sanchez then you would of noticed that for every color of sprites
there is a grass of the same color. If you give a red color grass to
Chef (the red color Sprite) then it would be like giving him flour.
The location for the color grasses are as follows.

------
Spring
------
Blue Grass-one can be found at the hot springs
two can be found near the woodcutter's house
Orange Grass-two can be found at the beach
Yellow Grass-Two can be found at the beach

Other Items
-------------
There are other items you can give the sprites that will be like giving
them flour or the same colord grass. This is one of the more incomplete
sections in the FAQ and in later updates I will add more as I find them
or as they are submitted to me. So far these are what I have.

Having The Sprites Work For You
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Ask not what you can do for your Harvest Sprite but what your Harvest
Sprite can do for you! Well mabye not, anyway once you have buttered
up the little dudes enough you can make them work for you. To get them
to work for you vist them in their house and talk to them. Select the
choice "Can you help me". When you do this three options will come up.
These three will be, Watering, Hrvesting, Animals. What these choices
mean are pretty self explanatory. The best way is to make each of the
Sprites have one special thing they do. You should assign one to animals,
Two to watering, and four to harvesting. The reason for the uneven numbers
is for animals the work is easy enough for one to git-r-done(for the
southerns out there:)). Two for watering because both will help alot
and its easy to help them out with the watering once you get a higher level
watering can. And the rest for harvesting because you can only help them
with the bordering produce.

----------
Watering
----------

If you have them helping you out by watering your crops you should feel
free to plant them as close as you want because unlike you, the Sprites
can walk over crops making them able to water all the crops even the
middle ones! It is a good idea if you have a large amount of crops or
you just don't have faith in the little ones to water all the crops.
Just a few full blast mystrile+ watering can uses will help them a great
deal. So help them out if they don't have a high bar in the watering
division.

------------
Harvesting
------------

This is where alot of skill in the skill bar really helps you out.
Harvesting is the most important thing to have help with. The reason
for this is because if you want to make any real kind of cash then you
will have to plant a plantaion of crops. Most of which you wont be able
to harvest due to lack of time. Also if they are like corn or tomatos,
which when harvested leave a root behind that regrows. The reason I
suggested so many Sprites helping out for this one is because you can't
really help them out much other then just harvesting the border plants.

---------
Animals
---------

Hmm not much to say about this one. This is the easiest thing to help
you out with because one can easly do all the work for this. The
Sprites feed, brush, harvest, milk, shear the animals. But one thing
they don't do is talk to them. So remember if you want to make your
animals really happy really fast is to talk to them also. Oh yea, they
also don't help sick animals with the medicine. So if you have a sick cock
you better fix it before it pukes all over you:). One important thing that
the Sprites will not use is the makers. So if you have them you should
milk the animals and use the makers or wool. You should always get to
the barn before they do if you want to make the extra money.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Mini Games
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The reason for the mini games you can play with the Sprites is that
you do it with them and pass the level filling the qouta. I know the
games are as boring as your math class but they do help alot. You know
you did it right when you hear the Sprites say, "I think I got better!,
budum". What Budum means is not known to me. I myself think its the codes
they use to cuss the little farmer out.

----------
Watering
----------

In this mini game you will see a plowed field in a 5x5 pattern. The
purpose of this is to water the same squars in the same order the Sprite
did. When the game starts the Sprite will go up and water three squares.
Then it is your turn. All you gotta do is water the squares he did. Make
sure to take your time because they can move really fast. If you see a
plant come up you did right.

------------
Harvesting
------------

This is of no doubt the easiest of all the mini games. You will see a
badly plowed field and a turnip in the middle. The Sprite will be
holding the turnip. All you have to do is to hit the A button fast
but not to fast lest you tire the little fellow out. The best way to
know how to hit it hard enough is hit it twice a second. For some
reason if you see the Sprite's face getting red stop and give him
a break,

---------
Animals
---------

This is a very frustrating one. Not because it is a a hard one but because
the little guy moves so fast it sometimes is hard to make him stop at the
right feeding square. The basic idea to this game is you will see six
chickens and six piles of food. When the food gets smaller and finally
gone all you gotta do is go to it and put some more food there. Make
sure you do this fast enough because if you don't the chicken will leave
and not come back. A miss is when you put food in the wrong place.
BJ Lorenzen gave me this little tip on how to feed the chickens easier.

"It is a good idea to let one or two chickens starve and just feed the rest.
From the very beginning, for example, only feed the left three chickens
and ignore the ones on the right. You will get one or two misses, depending
on the numbers of chickens you decide to let starve, but three chickens are
very easy to handle and I usually get upwards of 55 or 60 points without
trying."

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Misc
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is where I will put all the other stuff not big enough to have
thier own division. So far I only have one thing to out in this section.
Which is the tea party. Look to this section for added stuff in upcoming
updates.

-----------
Tea Party
-----------

If you get your affection high enough you will recieve the invitaion to
their tea party budum. It is hard to get it high enough for all the
Sprites in the first year because the only time a tea party is available
is the first season. In the second year it should be high enough to get them
to. You should check your mail box everyday in the first season if you have
three or more hearts for all the Sprites. But make sure you take the invitaion
you get from the mailbox to the hut on a day none of them are working.
After the tea party, budum, you will recieve relaxtion tea leaves. It is
important to make sure that you go to their huts as soon as you can
once you get the invite, for it may be too late if you wait much
longer. I am going to start a new game and check out more about the
tea party, so I can be sure to remove all doubt from certain factors
that might affect teh tea party.

--------------------
Looking After Them
--------------------

It is best to treat the Sprites like you treat any of your livestock.
You cannot over work them, mistreat them, or just plain ignore them.
Do any of these will result in a decrease in hearts that you worked
so hard for. If you don't have the time to do all you would like for
them, then just talk to them or give them a simple gift. One
big thing to remember is that you cannot ever make them work
two days in a row, this will over worked them and make them sad.
Also, never ever use a tool on them like a sickle of hoe, just like
with you animals, doing so will only yiled negative results. The best
method of use them to work is to make them work in shifts, chose
a day or two out of each week you need help with. Doing so will keep
them happy and not over worked.
