Class FAQ

by iammaxhailme

This is iammax here, writing another FAQ because I'm sick of questions about a
certain subject, which is classes. If you have any questions, you can email me
at [email protected], and of course you can email me for any other Fire
Emblem related questions. But no FE6 ROM requests, I don't have it anymore.

In the comments, I'll sometimes say "this class has the highest X cap in the
game". Well, that means sometimes it's tied, not that only this one has it.

OK, that's it. Remember, questions, put on site requests, etc go to
[email protected]

The number one rule for emailing me: PERSONAL EXPERIENCE MEANS NOTHING. If
you're going to email me saying that Summoner is better then Druid because of
the stats YOU got, that's stupid. That's just your luck. All the stats people
use on the board are average stats; nobody uses then own stats except in their
own judgement. Personal experience means nothing except to your own decisions.

Things you can email me:
Questions about Fire Emblem (check the other FAQs first though)
Suggestions for something relavent
Constructive Criticisms
Asking to put the FAQ on your site (ask once, if I say no, then it's no. But I
don't usually have a reason to say no anyway).

Things NOT to email me:
If you email me something that's obviously in an FAQ, whether I wrote it or
not, I'm just linking you to it. You have to check the FAQs before asking
someone a question; we write the for a reason. Saying they're "too long" is
stupid. Just use control + F and find something.
Things with a lot of forwards
Flame mail
Horrible english
DON'T EMAIL ME BITCHING ABOUT HOW I DON'T LIKE SUMMONERS. If you think the weak
summons make up for their crappy stats, fine, it's your choice. But don't bug
me about it. I get two emails a week about it, and you're not changing my mind
so stop it. The opinions in here about summoners are NOT only mine. Many board
users and I have discussed this, and it has been debated over and over, and it
was a group conclusion. So don't argue it.

Also, if you email me a correction, please give proof. I won't mention a name,
but someone told me something's wrong. He said: "

"Hey sure shot cannot work with ballistae. Im sure of it because my cousins
dad knows everything about it. Credit me in your fax and email me to tell me
you put it in their. My address is ***********@AOL.com. Any ways thanks for
telling me about silencer vs great shield, saved my life!"

Please, give actual proof if it's a technical thing like that.

For example, email me this:
Hi, I was wonder how you can do ____?

Don't email me:

1:
hi i no u no how to do ____ so tell me becuz i wil kill u if u dont because
then u r lame

2:
WTF are you talking about? __ Class sucks/rocks! You're a ****ing moron!
==============================================================================
FAQ===========================================================================
==============================================================================

Q: So, how do I get these super trainees?
A: It's not as complicated as it sounds. First off, you have to beat the game
one BOTH routes. Yes, you can save at the split and resume the second route
from there. Don't worry, after you beat the route, you can erase the file. The
game "remembers" that you beat it on that route, so you can delete it. And no,
you don't need to use them on the first 2 playthoughs. It doens't matter if
they die.

(Let's use Ross as an example. It's the same for all 3). You're using Ross. He
strikes down a soldier and grows to level 10! (At his beginning Journeyman
stage. Like how he is when you first get him.) At the beginning of the next
chapter, Ross will say something about his Muscles, and you'll get the list of
promotion choices. But this time, in addition to Pirate and Fighter, it'll say
Journeyman, too. If you choose that, He stays as a Journeyman. Then, you raise
him like a normal unit. Promote from level 10-20, as you would for any other
unpromoted unit. Ross uses a Hero Crest, Amelia uses a Knight Crest, Ewan uses
a Guiding Ring. Then, you'll have the choice of Super Journeyman or Hero. (I
don't know why it's Hero. It jsut...is).

Note- Each level of Trainee gets some promo bonuses. I can't remember all of
it, but I know each tier gets 1 Move. However, you NEVER get any CON, which is
a huge disadvantage.

Q: How about that Tri Attack?
A: You can do it with Three Falcoknights, or Two Falcoknights and One Wyvern
Knight. However, they must ALL be Syrene, Tana, and Vanessa. No Cormag. Set
them up like this. Y is You, E is enemy.

YEY

Those two Y's have to WAIT. Then, they the third one attacks. Note that if
you're using a Wyvern Knight, she has to be the one to make the attack.

Q: What are all the promotion items?
A: Well, there's Solar and Lunar brace for Ephraim and Eirika. Then, there's
the Hero Crest, for Ross's Branch and the Myrmidons. Neimi has to use an
Orion's bolt. Colm will have to use an Ocean Seal, and if you make Ross a
pirate, so will he. There's the Knight's crest, for Cavaliers and Knights.
And lastly, there's the Guiding Ring, for all the magic classes.

Q: I noticed that you labeled some people (Lyon, Isamairse, etc) "Secret".
What does this mean?
A: These characters can only be gotten after beating the game in Creature
Campaign, or CC. To learn how to get them, see the codes & secrets section. If
I missed any of these, it's most likley that I just can't remember what class
they are, and I'd welcome the information. ([email protected])

Q: How does Promotion Work?
A: Well, not counting the basic Trainee levels, each class has a promotion
class (or 2). TO promote them, they have to be at least level 10. It's best if
you do it at level 20, though, because they'll get more level ups in so they
will get better overall stats. You have to also get the correct promotion item
for that class. For example, Monks use a Guiding Ring. After Artur, your only
Monk, uses his Ring at sufficent level, he's offered a choice. Does he want to
be a Sage or a Bishop? Each different class has different caps. There is never
a completley superior promotion choice, remember that.

Once promoted, you can't promote again. (For example, a Paladin or a Sage is
already promoted, so you can't change.) Keep that in mind when choosing your
path.

Some things, like Mamkutes or Phantoms, cannot promote, period.

Q: What are these "skills" that some classes have?
A: Check my Skills FAQ.

Q: Why do you put if a class walks or is on a horse or such?
A: Well, there are weapons specificailly designed to kill certain types of
units. For example, the axe Hammer is designed to defeat Armours, or Knights,
Generals, and Great Knights.

Q: Wait, Great Knights are Horse AND Armour? They must take a LOT of damage
from Rapiers and Regeliefs, right? That's gotta be a strong horse....
A: No, they take the normal 3X weapon might. Unfortunatly. *Glares at Aias*
As for the stong horse part, just look at it. It must be carrying 500 pounds!
But that's not on my topic. <_< But if you combine those, there's quite a lot
more enemies with weapons that are "super effective" against those classes
then Paladins or Generals.

Q: What does class (M) or class (F) mean?
A: Male or Female. If you don't know, Male is guy and Female is girl.

==============================================================================
CLASSES=======================================================================
==============================================================================

There are many classes in this game. Each class is different. Some classes
have special skills, too, like Sniper. (See Skills FAQ for more info). They
all also have different stat caps. When you reach a stat cap, it means you
can't get any more in that stat. There are a few Exceptions.
1 - Every Class has a 60 HP and 30 Luck cap.
2- All Unpromoted Class has 20 Caps for all stats except HP and Luck. This
includes Trainees.
3- All Mounted Units have a 25 CON cap, and walking units have a 20 CON cap.
PS: The Aid formula is -
For Walking Units: CON-1
For Male Mounted Units - 25 - CON
For Female Mounted Units - 20 - CON
A lot of classes stat caps change depending on if you're male or female.
Generally, Males have more Strength, Defense, and Magic Skill. Females usually
have more Magic Strength, Weapon Skill, Speed, and Magic Defense. This is only
the caps, though. While the HP caps are the same, Generaly male Characters
have higher HP Growths.

So, here are the classes listed, then I'll post the caps and such.

Skill: Steal, Pick, Extra Vision in Fog, disable traps in the fire valley
Note: Rogues can use Lockpicks, but there's absolutley no reason to, as they
can pick doors for free. :)
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

Comments: They're nice, but I wouldn't make Colm one (he's the only one who
can be one and has the choice not to be.) when Rennac can steal perfectly
well, even though he won't survive a huge mosh of enemies, treasure chests are
usually not near enemies anyway. Highest Speed and Skill cap.

Rating: 5/10

Assassin:
Uses: Swords
Possilbe People: Colm, Joshua, Marisa
Caps: HP: 60 Str: 20 Skl: 30 Spd: 30 Def: 20 Res: 20 (Same for both Genders)
Skill: One Hit Kill, Lockpick, disable traps in Fire Valley, extra vision in
fog
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

Comments: That one hit kill is... deadly. Yep. I woudln't make anyone this
except Colm, though, becuase the swordmaster's caps are so much better. Joshua
is the best Assassin, though. He's also the best Swordmaster. Gets one more
CON on promotion then Rogue. Highest Speed and Skill.

Rating: 5.5/10

Swordmaster
Uses: Swords
Possible People: Joshua, Marisa, Ismaire (Secret)
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Str: 24 Skl: 29 Spd: 30 Def: 22 Res: 23 Luck: 30

Rating: 8/10

Comments: A good class. Anyone who can go here should. The people in this
class get the highest speed (tied with some others).

Journeyman
Uses: Axes
Possible People: Ross
Promotes into: Journeyman (2)*, Pirate, or Fighter at the beginning of the
chapter after Ross gets to level 10.
Move: 4 Foot Soldier

Journeyman (2)

Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Super Journeyman
Uses: Axes

Caps: (Male Only) HP: 60 Str: 26 Skl: 29 Spd: 28 Def: 23 Res: 23 Luck: 30
Skill: +15% Crit
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

Comments: Absolute crap. Never go here ever. It's basicailly a Berserker,
except crappified. Plus, you don't get any more CON.

Rating: 4/10

Pirate
Uses: Axes
Possible People: Ross
Promotes into: Berserker or Warrior with Ocean Seal
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Fighter
Uses: Axes
Possible People: Ross, Garcia
Promotes into: Warrior or Hero with Hero Crest

Caps: (Male Only) HP: 60 Str: 30 Skl: 29 Spd: 28 Def: 23 Res: 21 Luck: 30
Skill: +15% Crit
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

Comments: One of the best classes in the LA due to its very high Strength and
Speed. Some people say this is Ross's best promotion. Highest Strength.

Rating: 9/10

Warrior
Uses: Axes, Bows
Possible People: Ross, Garcia
Caps: (Male Only) HP: 60 Str:30 Skl: 28 Spd: 26 Def: 26 Res: 22 Luck: 30
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

Another great class. In my opinion, Ross's best. Garcia should also go here.
Highest Strength.

Rating: 8.5/10

Hero
Uses: Axes, Swords
Possible People: Ross, Garcia, Geirk, Calleach (Secret)
Caps: HP: 60 Str: 25 Skl: 30 Spd: 26 Def: 25 Res: 22 Luck: 30
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

Rating: 8.5/10

Comments: Pretty solid. I'd put Gerik here. Axes are good for him beucase he
has the CON to use them, contrary to shiningpikablu252's statements.
Ross or Garcia are better fit for Warrior/Berserker, though. Highest
Skill.

Ranger
Uses: Swords, Bows
Possible People: Neimi, Geirk, Hayden (Secret)
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Str: 25 Skl: 28 Spd: 30 Def: 24 Res: 23 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Str: 23 Skl: 28 Spd: 30 Def: 22 Res: 25 Luck: 30
Move: 7 Horse

Rating: 8/10

While I wouldn't put Gerik here, he'll still be awesome if you do. Neimi...
either way, she'll be good. There's merits to both. The sniper has better caps
but no swords and a bit less move. Take your pick. I prefer Sniper. Highest
speed.

Sniper
Uses: Bows
Possible People: Neimi, Innes
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Str: 25 Skl: 30 Spd: 28 Def: 25 Res: 23 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Str: 24 Skl: 30 Spd: 29 Def: 24 ReS: 24 Luck: 30
Skill: Ballista, Sure Shot
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

A great class. It should have 15% crit. V_V Anyway, for Females, I prefer it
over ranger, because of its superior caps, but if there's ever a male
archer hacked in one of your games, make him a Ranger, becuase the Male Sniper
has practicailly nothing over the Male ranger. Highest Skill.

Rating: Female, 8.5/10
Male, 4.5/10

Recruit
Uses: Lances
Possible People: Amelia
Promotes into: Recruit (2), Cavalier, or Knight at beginning of chapter after
Amelia reaches level 10.
Move: 4 Foot Soldier

Recruit (2)
Uses: Lances
Possible People: Amelia
Promotes into: Paladin or Super Recruit with Knight Crest
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Super Recruit
Uses: Lances
Possible People: Amelia
Caps: HP: 60 Str: 23 Skl: 30 Spd: 29 Def: 22 Res: 26 Luck: 30
Skill: +15% critical.
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

It's not bad. It gives Amelia the speed she needs. Its skill is good too, but
General or Paladin's skill is also good, and that's where she should be. Or
Great Knight. Highest Skill.

Rating: 7/10

Cavalier
Uses: Lances, Swords
Possible People: Amelia, Forde, Franz, Kyle
Promotes Into: Paladin or Great Knight with Knight's Crest
Move: 7 Horse

Knight
Uses: Lances
Possible People: Amelia, Gilliam
Promotes into: General or Great Knight with Knight's Crest
Move: 4 Armour

General
Uses: Lances, Axes, Swords
Possible People: Amelia, Gilliam, Fado (Secret)
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Str: 29 Skl: 27 Spd: 24 Def: 30 Res: 25 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Str: 27 Skl: 28 Spd: 25 Def: 29 Res: 26 Luck: 30
Skill: Great Shield
Move: 5 Armour

Considered by most to be the best class for the Link Arena, this is no doubt
one of the best in the game. Very good caps. Males have highest defense.
Gilliam should always go here.

Rating: 10/10

Great Knight
Uses: Lances, Axes, Swords
Possible People: Duessel, Amelia, Gilliam, Franz, Forde, Kyle
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Str: 28 Skl: 24 Spd: 24 Def: 29 Res: 25 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Str: 26 Skl: 26 Spd: 25 Def: 28 Res: 26 Luck: 30
Move: 6 Horse, Armour

Another good one. I'd make Kyle one, because of his Defense and Strength. It's
pretty well balanced.

Rating: 9/10

Paladin
Uses: Lances, Swords
Possible People: Seth, Amelia, Franz, Forde, Kyle, Orson (Secret)
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Str: 25 Skl: 26 Spd: 24: Def: 25 Res: 25 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Str: 23 Skl: 27 Spd: 25 Def: 24 Res: 26 Luck: 30
Move: 8 Horse

Ack, they screwed Pallys over in this game, all right. I'd still make Forde or
Franz one, though. It should have a much higher speed cap. I hate when they
totally screw a class like this.

Rating: 7.5/10

Pegasus Knight
Uses: Lances
Possible People: Tana, Vanessa
Promotes into: Falcoknight or Wyvern Knight with Elysian Whip
Move: 7 Pegasus

Wyvern Rider
Uses: Lances
Possible People: Cormag
Promotes into: Wyvern Knight or Wyvern Lord with Elysian Whip
Move: 7 Wyvern

Falcoknight
Uses: Lances, Swords
Possible People: Tana, Vanessa, Syrene
Caps: HP: 60 Str: 23 Skl: 25 Spd: 28 Def: 23 Res: 26 Luck: 30
Move: 8 Pegasus

It's pretty underrated. I'd go here with your peggies.

Rating: 7.5/10

Wyvern Knight
Uses: Lances
Possible People: Tana, Vanessa, Cormag, Valter (Secret)
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Str: 25 Skl: 26 Spd: 28 Def: 24 Res: 22 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Str: 24 Skl: 27 Spd: 29 Def: 23 Res: 23 Luck: 30
Skill: Pierce
Move: 8 Wyvern

A good one indeed. The caps are similar enough, even though they're mostly
better here, but in my opinion, Swords > Pierce.

Rating: 7/10

Wyvern Lord
Uses: Lances, Swords
Possible People: Cormag, Glen (Secret)
Caps: HP: 60 Str: 27 Skl: 25 Spd: 23 Def: 28 Res: 22 Luck: 30
Move: 8 Wyvern

A flying tank! Too bad it's so slow. Still, make Cormag one of these.

Rating: 8/10

Pupil
Uses: Anima
Possible People: Ewan
Promotes into: Mage, Shaman, or Pupil (2) at the beginning of the chapter
after Ewan grows to level 10.
Move: 4 Foot Soldier

Pupil (2)
Uses: Anima
Possible People: Ewan
Promotes into: Mage Knight or Super Pupil with Guiding Ring
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Super Pupil
Uses: Anima, Light, Dark
Possible People: Ewan
Caps: HP: 60 Mag: 29 Skl: 28 Spd: 27 Def: 21 Res: 26 Luck: 30
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

The only trainee that doens't suck in the LA due to all magics. However in the
game I'd still go Druid or Sage or Mage Knight first.

Rating: 8.5/10

Shaman
Uses: Dark
Possible People: Ewan, Knoll
Promotes into: Summoner or Druid with Guiding Ring
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Mage
Uses: Anima
Possible People: Ewan, Lute
Promotes into: Mage Knight or Sage with Guiding Ring
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Monk
Uses: Light
Possible People: Artur
Promotes into: Sage or Bishop with Guiding Ring
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Priest
Uses: Staves
Possible People: Moulder
Promotes into: Sage or Bishop with Guiding Ring
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Cleric
Uses: Staves
Possible People: Natasha
Promotes into: Bishop or Valkyrie with Guiding Ring
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Troubador
Uses: Staves
Possible People: L'arachel
Promotes into: Mage Knight or Valkyrie with Guiding Ring
Move: 6 Horse

Druid
Uses: Anima, Dark, Staves
Possible People: Ewan, Knoll
Caps: HP: 60 Mag: 29 Skl: 26 Spd: 26 Def: 21 Res: 28 Luck: 30
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

An awesome class, but there are only two candidates. However, this class is
much better then Summoner, so make Knoll one of these, and Ewan too if you
make him a Shaman.

Rating: 9/10

Summoner
Uses: Dark, Staves
Possible People: Ewan, Knoll
Caps: HP: 60 Mag: 27 Skl: 27 Spd: 26 Def: 20 Res: 28 Luck: 30
Skill: Summon
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

The worst class in the game, by far. The summons it makes are weak, and the
summoner is stuck with Dark, which is crappy, and it has far worse caps then
the Druid. In shorter words, NEVER MAKE ANYONE A SUMMONER, EVER.

Rating: 2/10

Sage
Uses: Light, Anima, Staves
Possible People: Lute, Saleh, Ewan, Moulder, Artur
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Mag: 28 Skl: 30 Spd: 26 Def: 21 Res: 25 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Mag: 30 Skl: 28 Spd: 26 Def: 21 Res: 25 Luck: 30
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

A great class. Overall its caps are pretty good. The only difference between
male and female is the mag and skill caps. Male has Highest Skill and Female
has highest Mag.

Rating: 9/10

Bishop
Uses: Light, Staves
Possible People: Artur, Moulder, Natasha, Riev (Secret)
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Mag: 25 Skl: 26 Spd: 24 Def: 22 Res: 30 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Mag: 25 Skl: 25 Spd: 26 Def: 21 Res: 30 Luck: 30
Skill: Slayer
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

In the Link Arena, Male bishop is pretty bad. However, in Creature Campaign,
it's indespensible due to Slayer. For Females, I prefer this over Valkyrie.
Highest Res.

Rating: 8/10

Mage Knight
Uses: Anima, Staves
Possible People: Lute, Ewan, L'arachel, Selene (Secret)
Caps:
Male: HP: 60 Mag: 24 Skl: 26 Spd: 25 Def: 24 Res: 25 Luck: 30
Female: HP: 60 Mag: 25 Skl: 24 Spd: 25 Def: 24 Res: 28 Luck: 30
Move: 7 Horse

I prefer Sage for Link Arena and Creature Campaign, but in game, I prefer
this, especially for Lute, who needs the extra 2 CON this brings in. However,
for Lute, its low magic cap brings down her potential for Arena and CC, but
you won't really need that for in-game.

Rating: 6/10

Valkyrie
Uses: Light, Staves
Possible People: Natasha, L'arachel
Caps: HP: 60 Mag: 25 Skl: 24 Spd: 25 Def: 24 Res: 28 Luck: 30
Move: 7 Horse

Crap. Bishop has better caps almsot all around.

Rating: 4/10

Mamkute
Uses: Dragonstones
Possible People: Myrrh
Move: 6 Flying

Dancer
Possible People: Tethys
Caps: HP: 60 Pow: 10 Skl: 10 Spd: 30 Def: 24 Res: 26 Luck: 30
Skill: Dance
Move: 5 Foot Soldier

Necromancer
Uses: Dark, Staves
Possible People: Lyon (Secret)
Caps: HP: 60 Mag: 30 Skl: 25 Spd: 25 Def: 30 Res: 30 Luck: 30
Skill: Summon
Move: 6 Foot Soldier

It's too bad you don't get anyone in this class who could be in the Link Arena
because it'd probably be the best in the class. Still, it's stuck with crappy
Dark magic.

PROMOTION BONUSES

Every time you promote a character, it gets a stat boost, depending on what
class you made them. Some classes also get new weapons. All credit for info
goes to http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/angelsword/sacred/promotion.htm and to
Geezabules for showing me that link. No one ever gets Luck on promotion.
Some classes also get skills. You never lose anything, unless I say, in large
capital letters, MINUS. Also, if you have an A rank in a weapon before you
promote, it goes up to a little under half of A when you promote.

As before, Class (F) or (M) means Male/Female.

It'll go like this:

PROMOTION RECCOMENDATIONS AND COMPARISONS

First off, I want to make a big note. These are just reccomendations. If ther
are some you don't agree with, fine. I don't have any robots that will kill
you if you make a different promotion then the ones I list below. However, I'm
generally listing the ones said by the board in general (although some are
not). So the below are the logical choices, but they're not the only choices,
so have fun choosing. If you're unhappy with your choice, just play again and
do something different.

When I say priority, that's how important that promotion is. For example, for
Neimi's priority (3/10), it's because they're very balanced. I'm not going to
give all characters priority. Some I'll just talk about why you should go
where you should.

With the following poeple, you have no choice of what to promote them to,
becuase they are already promoted or can't promote (Like Myrrh the Mamkute or
Seth the Paladin), or they can only go to one class (Lord --> Great Lord).

Eirika
Seth
Innes
Ephraim
Tethys
Saleh
Dozla
Rennac
Duessel
Myrrh
Syrene
Lyon
Orson
Glen
Valter
Riev
Caellach
Hatden
Fado
Ismaire

Gilliam
I'd go general for all purposes. It has better caps then the Great Knight, and
only one less move.
Priority: In Game: 4/10 Go whatever
Creature Campaign: 6/10 Go General
Link Arena: 9/10 Go General

Franz

I like Paladins better, but statwise, the Great Knights win in pretty much
every way. It's too bad intelligent systems screwed over Paladins in this
game...

Priority:
In Game: 6/10 Go Great Knight
Creature Campaign: 7/10 Go Great Knight
Link Arena: 9/10 Go Great Knight

Moulder

There are pros and cons to both classes. While the Sage murders the Bishop
statwise, the Bishop's slayer helps it kill monsters a lot. Your promotion
should depend on what mode you're doing.

In Game: 7/10, go Sage
Creature Campaign: 8/10, go Bishop
Link Arena: 8/10, go Sage

Vanessa

Once again, it depends on what you like. Falcoknights are better against magic
and wyvern knights are stronger. Swords are better then Pierce, though.

In Game: 8/10, go Falcoknight
Creature Campaign: 5/10, go whatever
Link Arena: 8/10, go Wyvern Knight

Ross

Now here's an interesting one. There are many (6 total in the end) promotions
for him. However, there are only 2 classes that are worth it in the end.

In Game: 6/10, go Hero or Berserker
Creature Campaign: 5/10, go Anything besides Super Journeyman
Link Arena: 8/10, go Berserker or Warrior

Neimi

This is one of the most balanced choices in the game. The Sniper has better
caps in general, so it'll have better stats, but the Ranger has swords. You
can't rule out Sure Shot and Ballistae, even though they're usually useless.
I'm giving this priority 2/10 for all, and just promote to what you like. I
usually go Sniper, they're cooler. ;)

Colm

Again, a promotion that matters very little. If you make him a Rogue, he can
steal and pick locks for free (that doens't matter very much though since
picks aren't expensive), and if you make him an Assassin, he can fight better
due to promotion bonuses, especially the extra CON, becuase he needs to use
strong weapons to do a lot because of his low strength. Priority 2/10, go
whichever you want: Assassin for Fighting, Rogue for utility.

Garcia

Warrior, no contest. The Hero just kills his strength cap.
Maybe for in game you can do it due to speed promotion bonuses, but after that
go Warrior without a doubt.

Lute
In game, I'd go Mage Knight, since it gives her some CON she really needs, and
more MAG on promotion, so she'll actually be doing more damage until she caps
power, and she can use more powerful spells without losing attack speed. But
after in-game, go Sage, because the Mage Knight's plusses are pretty much all
nulled by infinite stat ups.

Natasha
Bishop, all the time. Valkyries are crap, and Bishop has slayer.

Cormag
Wyvern Lord. He fits those caps better, plus Swords > Pierce. The Wyvenrn Lord
has a low speed cap, though, so if you care a lot about that, then don't go
to Wyvern Lord, but its other caps are better.

Forde

See Franz's arguement. Go Great Knight. However, if you are insistent on
making someone a Paladin and the other two Great Knights, go with Forde. (If
you only want to use one Cavalier, go Kyle no matter what. Seth is tied with
him if you don't want to level him up, with Amelia close behind).

Kyle

Same as Franz and Forde, especially for him, because he has the most STR and
DEF, which are the Great Knight's best stats.

Amelia

Hoo, boy. This is a hard one...
Well, in game, either of the Cavalier promotions are the best. Most people say
Great Knight, but the Paladin does get more Move, and the the that's most
useful is in-game, so...

After in-game, go General. The Super Recruit gives her the high speed cap she
really needs, but its other caps are bad. General is one of the best classes
in the game for Link Arena and Creature Campaign, so go there.

Artur:
Same as Moulder, really. Only Bishop for Creature Campaign, otherwise Sage due
to Sage's superior caps, but Slayer's extreme usefullness in Creature Campaign

Gerik:
Hero. Better caps in general. Axes > Bows, and the Hero's speed loss compared
to the Ranger can be fixed with Garm's speed boost.

Marisa:
Swordmaster. Assassins aren't that good. Silencer is not very reliable and the
Swordmaster has better caps, so go there.

Ewan
In game, I'd say Druid is the best, with Sage in a close second. Dark > Light
according to most of the board (and me).

In creature campaign the Link Arena, if you can go Super Pupil, do that. If
not, then Druid. It has the best caps overall. Mage Knight and Summoner are
Ewan's worst promotions, in my opinion.

L'arachel

Light and one more Res on Promotion vs. Anima. Same caps and everything. You
choose which you want more. Personally, I'd go Mage Knight.

Knoll
Druid. Summoners are very bad. The summons are weak, and they're stuck with
the inferior dark magic. There's a more complete analysis on the Summoner's
page in the classes section. Summoned up, Druid is the winner.

Joshua: It's the same case as Marisa, really. Joshua is the best Assassin, but
he's also the best Swordmaster, and Swordmasters are generally better then
Assassins, go I'd go Swordmaster.

Tana
Again, same as Vanessa. I'd reccomend using Vanessa more, though. But for
promotion, same thing. Falcoknight in game, Wyvern Knight out of it.

CAP CHART
You can probably guess what this is. If not, it's a chart that displays the
stat caps of each class. M is Male, F is female. M/F means it's the same for
both. If I don't put M/F or M or F or whatever, then you can only get one of
them. (For example, you can only get Male Rogues, Wyvern Lords, Druids/
Summoners Berserkers, and Female Falcoknights, Valkyries, etc) All classes on
this chart have a 60 HP cap and a 30 Luck cap, so I'm not going to put those
in the chart.
