In the beggining of the game what do I do

You need to talk to every main character in clock tower square.Talk to yugi,rex rapter,bonz,mako and mai.then,go to the right where you met mai.(when yoh go to the right you won't see yugi.then go back to mai.then go back to yugi's place again.before you go to yugi's place for the 2nd time,the clock will ring .that means 9 o clock.
