I'm not absolutely sure, but I think that when you're in Ra Yellow Jaden calls you on your PDA and says something about shadow games. Then one night(I'm not sure which), you get into a duel with a dude who is at the volcano near the crater. I think that is what the shadow demon event is.

There is such thing. Jaden will come into your door. In order for this to happen you have to be in rank apprentence duelist. Defeat this guy and he will give you skull servent 500atk and 400 defence
