Question for Yu-gi-oh! GX Duel Acadamy

CAN'T WIN THE EXAMS!!!

I can't win any of the Exams :(
Every time I try summoning a Monster, my opponent always Activates a Magic, or Trap Card that Destroys any Monster I try to Summon. Plus some of the cards he/she uses I've never seen before!

I'm almost thinking about resorting to "Exodia the Forbidden One" method.

Can you recommend any Cards to put in my Deck other than Exodia?(I'd rather have the Exodia Method as a last resort if at all possible. Thanks!)
