My friend doesnt know how to duel. Every time he trys it just says he doesnt have enogh cards but we check his deck and he has some cards. Do you know how to duel?

I think I know your problem. Listen. You go to the shop, buy starter or any other deck and while switching out you choose 'exchange deck' that way you get the cards for yourself. Your question is you don't have enough cards. You need 40 minimum cards to duel and 99 is the max you can carry(excluding fusion monsters).After gettin the cards you take edit deck and make your deck of 40 cards or more(40 recommended)and then choose 'deck in use'.And Wallah!! Youre ready to duel. To ask a guy to duel with you you press the L button.
