Question for The Urbz : Sims in the City

Okay, I've seen many questions for this particular problem, but most of the answers they are given are quite impossible to comprehend.

I am in the first misson of the Bayou, and I'm on the goal where you get the light. I know where the light is, next to that plant. When I stay on the water's edge (like it said in one of the walkthroughs) you are supposed to injure the plant. How can you injure it if there is a way? And if there isn't a way, how EXACTLY do you get the light?

You press B,B,B,B,B,Betc...until the plant sticks it's head in the ground. (it could be A,A,A,A....)

zuma answered:

Walk up to the plant and as soon as it has wrapped itself around you keep pressing A,A,A,A etc.(not B) and it's head will be in the ground. Quickly go past it and grab the light. But be careful because eventualy the plants head will come out of the ground and be ready to eat you again so be quite quick!
