Question for The Sims 2: Pets

Does anyone know why the security systems don't work? I have the highes upgrade which says that even insects are denied admittance, but I am still being robbed all the time.

I agree cause that happened to me before my file got erased but now I don't get robbed when I have that. I guess you just have to have one and no more than that? i dont know.
