Talk to the little boy outside in the souther end of the vilage.He will mark on the map ware the Elder is.The Elder will tell you to beat the first palice and him the pindent. After you beat the first palice and get the pindent(you get the pindent whenyou beat the first palice) go to the Elder and he will give you the pegasus shoes.

Beat the first palace then the elder (saharshala) will give you the pegasus boots then go back into the library equip the pegasus boots then ram the shelf(like in links awakening dx) then you can go to the second level or palace
