I've got all 10 Chao for the first zone (Route 99), but I don't know where the key is. Does anyone know where it is?

On stage 3 after getting the Chao look around the beginning of the level, you should find it there. Hope this helped.
Well, after you get all the Chao in one zone, the keys appear in all of the acts. The easiest one on route 99 is probably act one.
After the second Omochao (the sort of metal chao with a helicopter on its head) there's a bug enemy.
If you don't see it near the key near the bug the first time, die until you see it there.
It could be in any of the three acts. You just have to find it and complete the act.
