Just keep reseting it till you get a girl, it's very simple.

You can hatch it from an egg or be a female charecter, well atleast ever time I'm a male charecter I get a male starter and vis versa.

Keep restarting your game until you get one, or breed until it's a female.

Save Right Before You Have To Choose. Then,Keep Turning It On And Off Until You Get A Girl. I've Done This And It Works.
