My super rod will not work, every time I get a bite it always runs away every freakin time. I am trying to get a wailmer to evolve it into wailord , I'm trying to get the regi pokemon but in order to get them I need a wailord and a relicanth . I already have the relicanth. Please tell me how to use super rod to catch wailmer or wailord.

Any time while fishing you might get the message "Oh, a bite!". If it says that, hit the A button.
Keep hitting the A button once after that message appears until you catch a pokemon and enter a battle.
When it says "Oh! A bite!" you press the a button every time it says that.
Press the A button whenever it gives you the message "Oh! A Bite!".
You should capture one very fast.
Note that it may take a lot of practice for you to become competent at it.
Use your super rod near Mossdeep to get Walimer or Ever Grand City to get Wailord. Use it and keep your eyes peeled! when it say "oh, a bite" press A once, then if it says it agian press A only agian untill it says a pokemons on the hook or something like that! If you do this your sure to get one!
Hope I helped because I had a problem with fishing too.I always thought somehow my game could read my mind and any time I wanted somthing It would somehow not allow met to get it. Pretty stupid right!
Same thing is happening to me whenever I click A it says "it got away..."
Hey, a solution for you is this. I think you're game percentage is high.. Thats y the mesgs run very fast..To catch wailmer,in options menu, choose frame skip and choose throttle.. Then reduce the percentage to 100% or below. Now try super rod near evergrand city.. When there is a mesg,"oh A bite"( now it comes slowly) press a and repeat pressing a until you caught with battle.. It works for sure
OK....So know one was really clear on this so I will say it. Ive made the mistake where I keem mashing the A button and it keeps escaping BUT just press it once and it will ask to repeat the prosses then you press A ONCE and you should get your Pokemon.

Ive had the same problem what you do is when it says "oh you got a bite" 3x but you have to press A on time
Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire are basically the same. How I found out is I used the rod, and I held A every time it said "OH! A bite!", But I released every time it popped up again. It's kinda weird but it works.
