Question for Pokemon Sapphire

I have the Pkrs (pokemon virus) on some pokemon. What does the pkrs do? How can I spread the virus to the rest of my pokemon?

Pokerus is a good virus. What it does is, I'm not going all doctor on you though, increases all stats of the Pokemon it infected dramatically. It is very rare though. I've played Sapphire ever since it came out and I can't find it. Anyway, it can spread to Pokemon if they are in your party. After about a week, it will disappear. Not only that but, your Pokemon will forever have a black dot on it. It just means it was once infected with Pokerus.
