Question for Pokemon Sapphire

So I knida cheated by getting someone to trade their Latias to me, but I still really need a master ball! People keep saying "win at the lottery!" but I don't understand how to do that! Is it possible? Coz I've tried (I played non-stop for 4 hours trying to get it 5 in a row!) but now I'm just confused. Can someone please tell me how to get the master ball!!

PS. I missed my chance picking it up in Team Magma/Aqua's hideout, so this is why I need to get it through the lottery.

There is no way to definetly do it but it is done with ID numbers so if you do lots of trades with your friends you will have more chance of getting it.

It's a slim chance you will win the lottery dude,it's like 25% chance out of 100% that your going to win,it does not look to good for you.

If you are really desparate get a friggin action replay, the newer versions of action replay have saphire and ruby codes, incuding firered and leafgreen. In my save I have like 1000 masterballs. Action replays are like 20 bucks, unless you get it on ebay. You can also get codes to get any kind of Pokemon if look around websites with action replay codes.

You can win the lottery or I think a zigzagoon can pick one up and you have to keep trying at the lottery because it is not easy because the prize is a masterball
