Question for Pokemon Sapphire

Now, I have gotten into the 8th Gym and I have gotten past the first two levels of ice but I can't figure out how to get past the third level so I can battle Wallace. Does anyone know the pattern? Please be Specific.

Go on the one above the stairs and go two to the right... You should be in front of the rock. Go up one and right two, and down one you should be on the right side of the rock. Now go right one and up three, left two, down one, left one, up one, left one, down two, left one. You should be below the rock two above the stairs. Now go left one, down one, left one, up one, left one, down one, left one, up one, left one, up two, right one, down one, right one, up one, right one, down one, right one, up one, and finally one more right will let the stairs appear. Hope the long reply helps...
