Question for Pokemon Sapphire

Hi, when I put in the code to catch an Altaria, my Gameshark always says starting game but will just freeze there and I'll leave it there for hours and it'll say the same thing and it's the only cheat I used besides master code and it only adds up to five codes for both. How do I make it work?

Well I would not use it I would catch swablu and train it

You don't need a cheat to get Altaria just evolve it from suwblue.

This similar incident occured to a defective AR that I had. Anyway, capture a Swablu and train it, or capture an Altaria from Sky Pillar and take it home without the mess of levelling it up.
