Pokérus is a disorder occuring in Pokémon at random that causes it to acquire more experience from battle than usual.

Pokerus is like a disease that pokemon get. If you put an infected pokemon (a pokemon with pokerus) with another pokemon (without it) it will become infected. This happened to me when I was trying to hatch a bad egg and all my pokemon in my squad caught it (rayquaza, kyogre, latios, latias and my lvl 100 shedinja with full stats). Pokerus doesn't do anything because I got it on Pokemon Silver aswell and I have had it on that for ages and it doesn't do anything so your pokemon are safe.
