Question for Pokemon Sapphire

How do you trade between Pokemon Sapphire and Firered? Also, can you use DSs to trade with?

In order to trade between Firered and Sapphire, you will need to accomplish the following:

In Firered/Leafgreen:


  • Defeat the Pokemon League
  • Obtain National Pokedex from Professor Oak
  • Retrieved the Ruby and Sapphire Gems for Celio on One Island


In Ruby/Sapphire:

In Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, nothing is required to be able to trade with Firered/Leafgreen. Once your first *outsider Pokemon is received, The National Pokedex will automatically install.

*outsider Pokemon = A Pokemon that is not originally from the region it is in; Pokemon that are traded from another game.

U can only trade ruby with sapphire I think. But I'm sure that you can't use a ds & trade gb games
