Question for Pokemon Sapphire

I'm new at the game and need help. I'm stuck on the Eite Four and I'm going to start a new game. What Pokemon should Istart with and which ones shound I ?

Hmm, it's up to you, because when you choose treecko, treecko is strong at the beginning of the game but at the elite four it will be hard for you to beat them.

If you choose torchic its very difficult in the beginning of the game but at the elite four, it will be rear whoopin'.

I know all of that because I've tried them all, I suggest you choose torchic.
