Question for Pokemon Sapphire

Please tell me how to get Latias once you've already seen her! I'm desperate!!!! P.S my friend said to go to the town she's in don't look in your pokedex once you're there and search for like an hour is he right?

It's the same thing with the Legendary Dogs in Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Latias will flee when it can.

Here's what you do: Keep it in its place with Mean Look, Bind, Wrap, Fire Spin, Whirlpool, or Spider Web.
My best advice is to NOT USE GOLBAT!

Golbat is a Poison Pokémon; it will fall almost immediately to Mist Ball or Psychic.

Use Sableye instead; its Speed is decent, and it's a Dark and Ghost Pokémon.

Latias' only damaging moves are of the Psychic type, so they will have no effect on Sableye.

A guaranteed way to keep Latias where you want it so you can put as much time as you like into chucking Ultra Balls!

I think you should go to Mauville city, surf right, and then you will be on route 119.

Go up and you will be at the Mimic Circle.

You will see a house full of wingulls. Go inside, then come out.

Use Sweet Scent on the mimic circle, and if Latias does'nt come, go in and out of the house with wingulls and try sweet scent, in, out.

Keep doing this until you find Latias.
