Question for Pokemon Sapphire

Hi, I'm new. Does anybody know how to get the shards to trade the hunter for elementary stones? I can't find them anywhere!

You can find them near his house. You need to use dive. When you dive down you have to find a little circle or you can use your item finder.

Adding to ShapeShifter's answer, if you go to Lilycove city, go to the beach and surf toward the east. There is a girl who'll be the first person you meet. Once you meet her, surf south NOT SOUTHEAST! and you'll see a dark square. it is different than the other places where you dive (those are +) this one is square. dive there and travel along under there and soon enough you'll find shards. also, dive where ever you can; shards are all over the place

Shardsare scattered accross the ocean and are difficult to describe the location of. However, they can also be stolen from underwater Pokemon.

Here is a list of which Pokemon can hold which shard.
Corsola-Red Shard
Chinchou-Yellow Shard
Relicanth-Green Shard
Clamperl-Blue Shard
