Question for Pokemon Ruby

Yo ummm where do I begin well

1. When I battle a trainer I get a wild Pokemon insted of battling the trainer
2. At the begining of the game I had to battle a question mark? WHY

That is incredibly wierd and I'm guessing that there is something wrong with either your game or your GBA, I'd take the game back to where you got and exchange for a new one

1.Your games screwed.
2.You cheated and thats what happens sometimes.
