I just beat the fire gym leader, where do I get surf?

You have beaten Flannery so go to petarlbur city beat your daddy Norman take surk from Wally's dads home [Left house of gym]
Ok to get surf you need to go to petalburg city then you must go inside the house that is rigth next to the gym and when you get there just tlak to the guy and he will give you surf.
